Hello,

I'd like to buy my first carbon blade.

So far, I've had a Petr Korbel, and I was thinking about buying a Viscaria or a Timo Boll Alc.

The reason is simple: I feel like doing it.

But I'd like to ask your opinion. I want a blade that will give me powerful forehand topspin, so I can score points in short rallies. I've also thought about booster the forehand rubber, which will likely be a Tenergy 05.

I look forward to your comments.

Thanks everyone.

Get the sanwei 75 inner, or sanwei 54

Nittaku S-CZ or Donic Appelgren WC 89.
Almost the same. Outers, no too fast and tons of feel. Top layer is spruce so you have to be careful when replacing rubbers…

Cheers

Choose Viscaria. It has a slightly better control than Timo Boll ALC. You are already used to Butterfly product so you cannot go wrong with Viscaria.

I personally would not choose other brands that are cheaper because, well, if you don't like it, you would always be wondering what if you have gotten a Viscaria or Timo Boll ALC.

As for Tenergy, no need to boost it. It is plenty fast as it is. Plus you plan to pair it with a carbon blade.

Check the lemuria hurricane long 5 clone. It's exceptionally close to the real thing. If you want forehand, it's the only true choice. Viscaria is nice for backhand and forehand but it's sensitive. The long 5 is soft and has inner carbon, very much like the sanwei 75 inner that someone else recommended here. One of these two should be fine.

Do you have the lemuria long 5?

I used to but I sold it last year. Really good blade, well balanced in characteristics. A bit muddy in feeling, but soft with a lot of control over the table and really great speed in the open rally, and really stable. Overall a great buy. I'm thinking of buying one of their new ones with the real dhs logos.

Why did you sell it if it was good?

i have the non-logo one as well. It is simply the best blade I have ever found. Better than all the real w968 that I have tried. It has great feeling, and flex, but also has speed and snap and responsiveness. And it has a 160mm large headsize. It's perfect.

I wasn't using it and a friend wanted it, so I sold it to him for the price I bought it. At least he's enjoying it, better than sitting on a shelf.
