Exactly. Everyone in the hall knew about me filming and noone complained. I will stop posting until the mod decides to do his job.
That's entirely fine, my job (as with other moderators) is largely to take decisions on reported posts and facilitate webboard participation. I don't see any reported posts and I think the participation of forum members here has been reasonable in the absence of reported posts for the moderator team to weigh in on.

Your decision is entirely up to you, you have issued an ultimatum. The avenues are still the same, you can report the posts and also reach out to other moderators, or you can do whatever you think is right.

Happy with my performance. Got some really good wins. One bad loss but shiet happens. Peter is an interesting opponent. In the first game I beat his ass I was very active and fresh. But on the 3rd cup after like 15th match I had no more energy left so he beat me. 18 Matches is very exhausting but It helps a lot and I will get better over time.
When editing the highlight reel I did a few of those fh topspins I was practising. It's slowly getting into matchplay. But this tournament felt like I was playing 90% with my bh mostly. I was reacting a lot with my fh. Either way comparing this to the League match not even a few weeks ago vs Michael for example I am looping much much more with my bh.

vs Marc he beat me twice 3-0. In the final attempt I was a bit more active on serve receive so I finally rewarded myself with a win. Against Wolfgang I came close to the 5th but no energy left in the last set.

Because the points are not over very quick I am also learning about placement much much more. In the league I get overwhelmed or its too easy. The balance of the game is completely off compared to these race cups. So much more fun and enjoyable actually if it wasn't for the 2h drive..

haters please don't watch. I don't want to disappoint you with my results

Still watching but just had to point out the 3:50 mark. You play a FH shot that you should be playing all the time. If it bounces up, kill it.

Now back to watching :)

Enjoyed watching your games. Plenty more positive shots particularly in the 2nd and 3rd game. Last guy looked like good fun to play against, had better movement then I would have initially expected. Way more positive play by yourself which is a great outcome. Stay positive and play your shots. You could see that you are now starting to push your opponents back from the table and they became more error prone.

First player is so hard to beat. He plays at a pace it feels like I am just reacting. And my bh is not fast enough to give him trouble. I don't know how to make him move what strategy I should be following etc. Also the amount of net/edges he has every set is crazy. Its like I get one and he quadruple pays me back.

Last player has a similiar style as the first one. They place the ball and give it good pace. Only difference was that he was more susceptible to my serves so I had more breathing room. And he has no spinny attacks.

Marc had the best attacking shot both wings. Crazy amount of spin and speed. I recommend to check out the full video.

The highlights is a bit fake obviously since I picked only the good balls 99% making me good look. I mean thats the purpose. I want to watch this and get pumped up again.

Instead of forcing a specific playstyle it turns out I am driving a lot with the bh and do controlled loops. I am a bit sad about almost never getting the chance to loop with the fh. I also seem a bit out of ideas to force them to give me more balls to my fh where I am not out of position and only reacting when they do play me there.

Serve receive I only struggled vs half long bh serves into my fh. Prob around 15+ receive mistakes straight away. Eventually it made me default to a bh push. But that is only a short term solution since I am on the defense if that push is bad. And I also open up my deep bh

Normal pendulum serve into my bh works if I use my fh and slowly hit the right side and kind of drive it back.

Next tournament ,from what I have seen, the same high level kids will be playing.
That will be fun if I get to play against them again. They teach me to not drop my racket down and first just get some "fast" drives with good placements and force a slower return where then only I can drop the racket slightly and add spin and power in my shots. Right now it feels like I drop my racket on autopilot thinking I can attack but then realize I cannot and then just get into this reacting only rallys.

Happy to see you back to continue the conversation with your "haters"!

At first i was confused, why your games looks so slow and passive. In my club in NRW, players with 1400 TTR are playing like in action movies 🤣
But then maybe you are doing what my coach always says to me: "ruhig, nicht so hektisch" (play calmly, not so hectic)

That first player is the type of player that draws people into his trap. He is a good placement player and all around consistent placement around the table. This type of player will expose you going back and keep you out of position to attack and force errors.

They also play the mental game to draw you into there game and take your focus and confidence away....the talking and body language is making you loose focus, it is part of their game and strategy. He wants you frustrated.

They also go side to side getting you to predictable return the ball into the same spot. Think of it as like a snake charmer, they have you dancing to exactly what they want. When he took your attack away I noted he kept sending the ball at your FH in the same spot as you stopped attacking and started just blocking the ball back passively. This was getting you on your heels so they had an easy attack.

Lots of people get beaten by this type of player and leave the game wondering what happened...why did I not attack etc etc. These players can have a habit of pressuring players expected to beat them easily.

You just need to be aware that you are being drawn into their game to snap yourself out of it. I normally find I miss a few FH attacks at some point against these players but just keep going as I adjust and start hitting them on the table again. I also like to go down the line when they try this moving the ball around or just hit it directly at them with the view to hit them. No spin serves can work well against them as they can be a player who uses your spin against you as well. But you want to finish them early as they will constantly adjust if you let them.

Those 1400TTR would get 3-0d by me.
They also had 2 or 3 different brand tables. Ball kicks very unpredictable. But I still did a good job from my perspectice.

Na we are friendly. He alwys has net/edges like it belongs to his games. That's why you see me being "happy" when I get one myself. But he pays me back with with a 1:5 ratio no joke. He beat me 9 times out of 9 or so. My balls don't hurt him at all.

Just for the sake I tried to loop wide and some made it into highlights others missed the table. I don't know if you have watched the full game. I only filmed the 0-3 I later played him 2-3 but didn't film that one thinking its gonna be another 0-3.

He is so secure slow spinny even if its down the line doesn't hurt him he soft blocks back. If I loop short he active drives to the wide angles. So my best chance to keep in the rally was to drive and play the block game until I get a ball I can hit hard and change the rythm of the rally. I also played too many times into his fh. But with his bh he can play parallel or wide into my fh that was also annoying.

Against his elbow he was doing these soft loops that I hate and don't really practise killing. It has some sidespin on it. It's also medium high not too high to just slap it also more to the white line than close over the net from what I remember.

I have uploaded the full match aswell maybe there is an option to beat him with the abilities that I currently have but I don’t doubt it.

I bet he pays you back. It is his game style.. he will place, place and place working towards the edge and he is definitely making sure you are not focused and drawn into his game.

Hitting down the line or to his elbow is not going to work when you are being so passive. You are ralling him, not attack.

If he soft blocks (you need to kill this shot more) like you mentioned from your down the line...you kill that ball across the table....he is left handed, that is a lot of table to cover for him. That soft block is the forced mistake you are trying to create. But if you are too far back from the table...then you are out of position.

If you stay more at the table, you will shorten his time to react and hit more winners.

Yeah I meant paying back in terms of net rollers lol.

Anyway I agree we get in these rallys often where especially with his bh he does these soft higher safe loops. I realized I am scared to take these balls at early rising point to give him less time.

The other half time I don't know how to deal with these higher loops down to the base line when I am at mid distance and take it with my bh. I think when I do take them at rising point + my technique or rather me wanting to spin up the ball makes the ball flying out thats why I you see me "drive" at a slower pace / me being rather comfortable with that. And if the ball is lower I am much more confident in looping "faster".

He and some others really exposed my weakness in terms of giving me balls I don't feel comfortable attacking.

I think I am just standing wrong where the peak of the ball is at my head level. So either take it at rising point (need to practise this more then) or step further back? And take it when its falling to my chest level. I don't seem to get the distance right and then you see me lifting my elbow too much and the stroke completely breaks down. You would need to watch the full match to see this. I will try to stay closer to the table next time but not sure if my anticipation is fast enough for that. And even if its fast enough I am not sure if I will be able to play faster better placement shots with that low amount of time.

Also need to learn looping fast pushes. 1 opp in my yesterdays game abused this a lot. He would chop very hard. I was only reacting and pushing back and he would kill it even though I didn't even push that high. I think this is even more important otherwise they get the first attack in and if that attack is that good as yesterday I can't even block..

Table tennis is just so hard. Got a 1700 to train with tomorrow. I feel like a beggar asking better players if they would like to train with me. But it is what I need to adjust to the better level.
Also beat a 1600RC yesterday who threw his racket once during game and also another time after the game where he broke his very old expensive bty blade. Another game I won when I was 0-2 down.
Lost once (1-3) only to a 1650RC but he played like a 2000 against me. Bro had spinnier openings than 1900TTR and harder topspin killshots than him. Facing such a player in the first game is a nightmare. He is fresh and I am someone who needs more ball exchanges. Stupid 3 man system means I warmup for about 15-20min then wait 30min and then I get my first game.. ofc he lost to my teammate in his next game who I beat in a tournament 4 months ago, because he can't play like this for more than 1 game.

If you dont have anything better to do on the 4th and 5th of april, you can travel to our easter tournament. There are two days where you could participate in two classes at least.

1000106091.png

on the first day from 12:00 the competition until 1500 TTR (sadly this only takes QTTR which you have below 1500) and on the second day in the competition from 1326 to 1675 (Q)TTR from 12:00 as well.

With your ambitions, you should win the first competition at least.

Hey, if im never playing in a tournament, can i join? i do not have Turnierlizenz yet.
unfortunately the turnierlizenz is mandatory. You can either buy that license for a year (which will auto renew) or only for this very event. both ways are quite cheap (i think it was kinda 6 € for one event or 9€ for the whole year or something). When i bought it i got some balls for free with it via https://www.contra.de/gewo-ball-ultra-slp-40-turnierlizenz-3er-weiss/ so its not really expensive.

if you have an account on mytischtenns.de and are registered for any german club (i am not 100% sure if that is an requirement) then you can play and register for that tournament. i guess Zezima can tell us the best what he had to do to be eligible for tournaments in germany.

I think you just need to start trying things to develop your more attacking shot. In training just try and finish the point earlier. Even try just putting about 10% more into all your shots and just keep increasing over time so your average shot has a bit more speed to pressure your opponent more. This can help increase your baseline power in your game even when under pressure and nerves kick in.

Your just going to have to accept that you will make errors while doing it and players you normally beat in your club might beat you. Just part of the process of changing your mindset, confidence and muscle memory so you start to put these shots away.

The modern game is about putting your opponent under pressure and IMO you send to many balls back that take the pressure off your opponent and gives them the opportunity to put all the pressure on you.

I think this is something all players have to go through at some point and I think it is important to have realistic expectations. Your not going to just walk into a session, start killing the ball and every shot is fast and hitting the white lines. It takes time and can be a 6mth to a year long process to take this from your pressure free club matches to a high pressure tournament.
