Need help for new rubbers! (one more asking)

You may have misunderstood me.

I am okay with the idea of you getting new rubbers. I say, don't worry too much about what you get. You will get used to what you get.

The Rakza 7 and R7 soft suggestion was a good one. There are many good suggestions. Xiom Vega Pro FH Vega Europe BH would be excellent also. So would Sriver G3. Donic Baracuda would actually be great. Very grippy. Good spin. Not too fast. Good control.

If you want the extra speed, use the fact that you are getting new rubbers (and new generation rubbers) to add that extra bit of speed. So the new rubbers will give you extra speed and spin and they will aid you in gripping and picking up the ball when you try to loop backspin.

But there is no need to think of a new blade. Right now you are using slow rubbers and an All+ blade. Any of the rubbers mentioned will give you a step up in speed and spin. And the blade you have will allow you to keep good control.

The only thing I would recommend, if you were changing blades, would be to step sideways to a blade with a softer top ply. That would also help you loop better.

Something like a:

Stiga Allround Evolution
Yasaka Sweden Extra

You wouldn't be getting those because they are faster. You would be getting the blade for more dwell time with the faster rubbers so you can spin better.

Does that make sense?

And if money is tight, you just get the rubbers. That is all you actually need.

It makes alot of sense.

I have a Stiga Allround. It was my wife's blade. (she bought a Zhang Jike ZLc :D). I prefer my silver line.

Thank god, money is not tight ( i was just goofing with darnner)

I was thinking in Barracuda too because of all i read i other threads. But was affraid to buy without other opinions.

From the beginning i was thinking barracuda for FH and tsp ventus soft for BH. Do you think that do the trick?

Yes, but it's expensive and Portugal is in a financial crisis!! :D
I see in this case I think your setup is fine but if your rubber is losing its grip get a new one! I recommend going on youtube to look at videos then since that is the next best thing you can do. Brett Clarke's videos are great, pingskills are good too. Just work on your consistency! :)

Yes sir! i do that many times! and practice at home with my lady. She plays waaaaaaaaaay better than me. And also i have amazing team players that don't mind to train with me for hours even though they are in a different level!
I'm a lucky man indeed :)

I have a Stiga Allround.

Which "Stiga Allround"? It makes a big difference:

Allround Classic?
Allround NCT?
Allround Evolution?

The only one of those I would fully recommend for YOU is the:

Stiga Allround Evolution.

Excellent feeling, dwell time, spin and flex.

But I actually would say that the:

Yasaka Sweden Extra

Might be even better for you.

Again, the blade you have is good. But it is an All+ blade with a hard outer ply and softer inner plies.

For developing the touch you are talking about, the touch you say you need to improve, a blade with W softer outer ply and more springy inner plies so the blade helps the rubbers grab the ball better, would be BETTER for YOU: for what you need to develop.

The one i have is the Stiga Allround Classic. It is faster than my Silver Line for sure. I can look for the other you mencioned. They are not expensive so, i really don't have much to lose.

Thanks Carl.

Oh, and about the rubbers? The barracuda for FH and TSP ventus soft for BH? are they ok?

Oh yeah, TSP Ventus: I have to be honest: I have no idea. I have not used it.

What about Baracuda Big Slam for BH? Similar to Baracuda but softer. Baracuda may be fine for both sides too. It isn't too hard. But Ventus may be great. I just have no clue.

Okay. Wait. The Allround Classic is faster than what you have? What do you not like about it? Is it the speed of the feeling?

Yes Carl. I'm sure that my Silver Line is slower... I don't know why it says it's ALL+. Maybe mine came out different. But i am sure that is slower than my Stiga Allround.

It's not that i don't like the Stiga. I just like more the Silver Line. The handle feel better in the hand and with the same rubbers, it's more balance. I also like that it's more stiff. I can feel more the vibrations and i have a better feeling when i don't contact the ball the right way.

The speed difference between them doesn't bother me. It's not that big.

The Stiga belonged to my wife. she had glue to it 2 Donic rubbers. An Acuda P2 and a Desto Big slam. i like it better
with those rubber than with my rubbers.

Okay. Then I would just get the rubbers. Don't worry about the blade. Keep what you are already used to and like.

When you upgrade the speed of your blade you should get the Yasaka Sweden Extra. That would be a good next step faster.
