Hello Friends,

Got a fun question for you all.

In about 4–5 weeks, I’ve got a tournament coming up, but first I need to survive trials ( coming in 1.5 weeks, trials will be in singles) and finish in the top 3. If I make it, I’ll be up against players I’ve never faced before—completely fresh matchups, that too in doubles.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
Are there 1–2 “tricky” or “x-factor” skills I can realistically add in the next few weeks—something that gets under opponents’ skin, throws them off balance, or buys me that early edge before they figure me out?

Not looking to rebuild my whole game (as I cannot in such a small period)—just those frustrating, game-changing little weapons that make people think, “Wait… what just happened?”

Hit me with your best ideas—I know there are plenty of seasoned players here with battle-tested tricks up their sleeve!

Thanks,
Coolchap

I got a fun one, but it will be hard to accomplish!
Try to tie opponents shoelaces together, you will limit their movement giving you an advantage!

Work on your service! Work a lot on it, you can do it without even using a table! Service and reception is 50% (or more) of a point.

Learn how to do an empty push which looks like heavy push, assuming you know how to do a heavy push. Very successful tactic in doubles because there is much more to pay attention to for the opponent and pushes escape scrutiny more often compared to other shots.
