Just saw a new batch of DHS blades with some exotic names.

Ma Long Balance, Energy, Light
Wang Liqin Magic, Carbon, Legend, Ultima
Wang Hao Control, Special, Sting

With choice of ST, FL and AN, they are catered for the European market. Priced low from $35 to $70. Mostly 5 plys wood, some 7 plys wood and a Carbon with ratings from All+ to Off+. Will anyone consider to collect them all?

Wang Hao Control
Ply: 5
Speed: All+
Weight: 82 (±5)
Thickness: 6.0mm
Handle: FL/ST/AN
Traditional 5ply construction creates perfect ball feeling and makes it ideal choice for the players who require control and precision. Good choice for allround players who prefer first to break opponent attack with blocking and then to counter attack. It can be also of great help for player who desires to improve the stroke technique.

Wang Hao Special
Ply: 5
Speed: Off-
Weight: 89 (±5)
Thickness: 6.0mm
Handle: FL/ST/AN
Perfect balance between speed and control. The blade is quick enough to effect powerful attacking strokes but at the same time it provides a special feeling which will make this blade very popular among offensive players looking to add control to their attack.

Wang Hao Sting
Ply: 5
Speed: Off+
Weight: 85 (±5)
Thickness: 6.0mm
Handle: FL/ST/AN
Classical 5-ply wooden very well balanced blade. It is recommended for the attacks close to the table.

Well that is what Dhs described. What I wanted was someone had hands on experience.

Reviews are cool. But if they've just come out the company's descriptions help you know what the blades are about.

Thanks rokphish.

initially i was reading the first post too quickly, i thought there are only three blades, so i was planning to get all three when i go to china in april... after a few minutes of digging, found that there are 10 blades so my interest evaporates rather quickly...

i have suspicion that these are re-badged old series (Dipper, Magician, etc.), anyone have old dhs catalog? too bad i didn't pay much attention for their lower class blades before so can't tell for sure whether they are re-badge or not.

but, i'm not knocking them down. lower class dhs are also good value blades based on a few I've tried before.

also based on experience (hoping they make new changes now), if you're keen to get AN handle of dhs, don't get your hopes up. If you're keen to get ST handle, grab them as soon as you can get them.

I know that they have got many different blades, and that's why I asked how can one compare them to old blades. I am sure that not much new stuff is there, just handle changing is there.

it'll be good to know as well, but i won't hold my breath over it. even on other brands it's kind of hard to know which is the re-badge of which as it's their goal for us not to know thus to spend more money.

which older dhs blades do you have or had tried and want to know whether the new one is the re-badge?

no point of getting to know every model of every line one brand because there's just so many.

a while ago while i was in china i was offered various types of lower/middle class of dhs blades. i tried each with bouncing ball on them and the comfort of the handle, the looks (and finishing) and here are some that i brought home with me

Hey, one thing I have noticed is that pg7 comes in orange and yellow colour handles. Are they of different batch and play different?

i don't know for sure as there are several assumptions for that:
- they were made from different factory
- they were made from different badge/time

the orange i bought around the time the pg7 was out, while the yellow some years later.

i'm also seeing the yellow handle with no serial numbers on the wings, this i can't understand, whether:
- the new ones are no longer comes out with serial numbers
- very good fake

here's a photo of the one without numbers that i recently saw

Yes, I ordered from tt11, who are authorised sellers of dhs , and I too have got similar yellow handled blade with no serial number.
Since you have both the blades, can you review them in all aspects?

the orange one i bought from out of the city, when i receive it i did bounce test with a ball and didn't particularly like it, i just chucked it aside and forgotten about it because at the time i have other blades i want to try in the queue.
a year or two later when i was in china i was offered a bunch of lower/mid-class dhs blades, out of those i did bounce test on several models as shown in my previous photo, i ended up with a couple of dippers, one magic, 3-4 pg8, and one pg7. so in this regard i'm a bit biased toward the yellow pg7 as being better than the orange one.

i can't help with trying out and comparing both orange and yellow because i'm thinking of selling the orange one and keep the yellow to try later on.

by the way, since you bought from them, you could ask them why their's didn't have the serial numbers. we could probably get some sort of official reason why seeing they are one of authorized dhs sellers?

I think I should ask tt11 guys. That should be great if we get clear answers.

I have had a DHS PG7-ST handle for about 2 years (I also have about 4 different blades). I hate the ST handle as it's too thin and short (my hand rides up onto the rubber). It could be great for smaller hands... On the bounce test and during hitting (with rubbers) it's great with the celluloid ball, it feels weird with a 40+ (and DHS) ball. Nice mid range racket that has great control and loops great (with celluloid).

I'd like to find either a (DHS) PG-13 or PG-15 in FL, only I don't know of the FL handle has decent thickness and length or is it similar to the ST grip (too thin and designed for small hands). Anybody know (dimensions of DHS FL handles) ?
