The layers of wood used for Hurricane Long 5 look like the same with Ma Long's W968 blade that he using now.
Maybe just the handle is different.
I dont think the new ball will effect much on the blade. It will much more effect on the rubber use because of the diameter of new ball slightly different.

Hurricane 8 and Tin Arc 5 are developed for the cell free balls I think? (40+) and a bounce limit logo? I can't read the Chinese characters..
This are the only rubbers right now that are approved by ITTF for international tournaments after June, but that doesn't mean the other rubbers are automatically banned or not ITTF approved?

They are not for bounce limit but for new plastic ball. Other rubbers will be still ITTF approved after July (new ball will come in place on July). These rubbers are the only one that are made specially for new ball not the only ITTF approved ones.

There is a thread about new Hurricanes: http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?7376-DHS-New-Hurricane-Series-Rubbers

I think Hurricane 3.50 is the new Hurricane 3 that is introduced in that thread.
From the link in the OP before the site went down:
DHS - Hurricane New Series

For the past 10-20 years, Hurricane series rubbers had used by most of Chinese players’ forehand. From 38mm to 40mm & VOC to VOC-Free these two reform, it has been kept powerful standing, however, now DHS have to facing of changing New materials ball. New Hurricane series were developed to make a change!

Confidential Missions:

Mission 1: New Hurricane 2
It keeps speed of ball, powerful spin, low of arc, tacky feature has kept longer than before so that increases spin of NEW materials ball.

Mission 2: New Hurricane 3
It pursues quality of control and top-spin. It can release powerful spin and longer arc. It is the all-around rubber, which is adhesive enhanced.

Mission 3: Hurricane 8
It is a fully designed for NEW materials ball by using new formula to increase speed of ball. The sponge’s elasticity has increased to 15% compared with the traditional sponge. It not only keeps of existing Hurricane features, but it also has significant increased the speed of the ball.

NEW Hurricane 3 V.S. OLD Hurricane 3
New H3 has not changed the model surface. Sample sponge is dense compared with the old one. Tacky feature only has a little bit difference. When you make a serve, it will be easily to discover the difference. Since tacky feature is enhanced, the spin has increased that is obviously sure. For elasticity, it is same as the old one. If you are using H3 right now, it is no problem for you change it. Actually, you can directly use it.

Hurricane 8
It will be released on the market in March 2014.
If you are the famous DHS players, you should notice ITTF’s website had already listed out H8, H9 new models in rubber list page. Since ITTF had announced the change of the new materials ball, therefore, H8 finalize model had changed frequently in the past few years.

What is difference?
H8 is using 25# sponge, which is based on 20#, 22# sponge to build. It remains of the existing H3 features. The advantage of H8 is transparent, which means that can “EAT” the ball better than H3.
For beginner, H8 has high fault tolerance and easy control characteristics, which is obviously better than H3.
No matter New H3 or H8, it emphasizes the most important message, which is New materials ball age is coming, rubbers have to enhance “Spin”.

It will be interesting to see top Chinese players will still remain with Hurricane 3 or will switch to new Hurricane 3 on Hurricane 8.

It's Hurricane 3-50 (not 3.5, like it's 0.5 better or something). Here is some info over at tt11:

http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/dhs-hurricane-3-50-tt19058669#.UxslbxuPN9A

They say that the "-50" part of the name refers to the sponge, which is #50. IIRC, that's the sponge from Tin Arc. This might be the new rubber Xu Xin has been using on his BH - H3 topsheet, Tin Arc sponge. Could be a belter of a rubber!

JesperStef could you tell the members about the rubber? Thanks :)

Won't be in the shop myself until thursday, so I haven't tried it out myself yet. I'm thinking about putting together a racket with H3 Neo on one side and H3-50 on the other for testing/comparison. If all goes well, I'll have more info then...

Hurricane 3-50 is also available at tabletennis11: http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/dhs-hurricane-3-50-tt19058669#.UzEgMqiSxGY

Looking forward to review of it because i think it is the rubber that Hurricane 3 Neo users in CNT will switch to.
Hurricane 3-50 is based on Hurricane 3. Its actually a Hurricane 3 Neo that is adjusted for the new plastic balls. So i think Hurricane 3 users will switch to it after new ball comes in place.

Hurricane long 5? I believe I missed the hurricane long 4 haha

Chinese don't like the number 4. It represent death. So they tend to avoid it.
It is just like the number 13 in the west.

In buildings, you will not find the level 4 so the elevator will go from level 3 to level 5 for example (just like 12 to 14 in the west)
