I played 09c too long ago to recall how it compares exactly . But 8-80 power is much easier to activate on slower shots. It’s less sticky than the 09c I used before as well. On medium power, it’s also faster than 09c and less spin sensitive in general compared to 09c.Japan TT selling for $34 https://tt-japan.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_2&products_id=6554
I also tried the DHS H880. Terrible QC with huge weight variation and rapid oxidation on the topsheet.
I am keen to try the Nittaku one on my BH. I played D09C on BH before. How does it compare to D09C in terms of feeling, control and blocking?
I did not boost both of them so I can’t tell you what happens if you boosts. But I feel it might make the 8-80 power too soft as less for my play.
Blocks are easier on the 8-80 power. On 09c I always felt that there is a gear in between soft and hard where the ball always seems to catapult out. And I never could figure when it would actually happen. Sometimes the ball dies while other time it just shoots off the table. Could be due to the spin sensitivity but I feel this happens alot less on the 8-80 power making blocks a lot easier.
