I was recommended to try this rubber out (Nittaku PK50) but I thought it'd be a good idea to get some more info on it.

I currently use Hurricane 8 hard, what differences can I expect with PK50? Seems like the sponge is thinner so I expect the topsheet to be thicker and maybe softer? Softer topsheet seems to be the case with many rubbers now. Is it recommended to boost this rubber?
Many seem to compare it to dignics 09c, how is it in comparison?

Appreciate any input! 😀

It is relatively hard, but not overly so. Great grippy topsheet! Very similar to joola golden tango ps (if not even the same!).

High control, no ball slippage, not a tremendous amount of catapult. Still requires more active strokes unless you like slower returns.

At the reasonable price point and fantastic quality, I think anyone interested in the hybrid type rubbers should definitely give pk50 a try.

The H8 is more direct and you get more effect out of it when brushing the ball. The PK50 has a perhaps harder sponge, but the feeling is softer. I didn't get very much out of it when brushing, but there's good spin and nice control. Check out XIOM TAU II as well. It's somewhere in between these two.
