Omni S Plus vs. Omni S Pro — which one would you choose?

Hi everyone,

We recently added a new model to the Omni lineup — the Omni S Plus — so we wanted to get the community’s take on something:

If you were choosing between the Omni S Plus and Omni S Pro, which one would you go for, and why?

Here are some of the main differences:

• Omni S Pro: Black/Orange | E-Pad S included | 522+ built-in drills | 2–15 m/s with 21 speed levels | Up to 100 r/s with 23 spin levels
• Omni S Plus: White | E-Pad S not included | 198 built-in drills | 2–15 m/s with 11 speed levels | Up to 80 r/s with 11 spin levels

The basic ball-speed range is the same, but the Pro offers more adjustment levels, more built-in drills, higher maximum spin, and comes with the E-Pad S.

If you were buying an Omni for your own training, which features would matter most to you? Would you choose the Pro or save with the Plus?

as a critical and hard-core user of the Omni S Pro, i really(!!) need/want the E-Pad S to let me edit the names (titles) of the drills! I documented this feature request in my ongoing Omni review and haven't heard from you back since. 😩

If you were buying an Omni for your own training, which features would matter most to you? Would you choose the Pro or save with the Plus?

For my own training, the max velocity (ball trajectory not frequency) and the max spin matter most to me. This imitates an opponent launching high-quality attacks against you, and that's where mediocre players cannot maintain "stability": after ball2 or ball3 from the attacking robot, the player would break down\fall apart and make his first error (missed shot!). Either a blocking error, or a counter drive error, or a counter spin error, or a chop block error, or a loop error, or whichever stroke you practice in order to stay stable. It's the attacking robot which leads to forced errors, it's not your bad. If the robot didn't attack, all of your errors would equal unforced errors. Your bad.

If i were to buy any Omni, i would definitely go for the Pro because i make full use of the E-Pad S and wouldn't want to train without it. Sometimes i have the E-Pad S AND the smartphone next to each other for parallel operation but i find the GUI and the snappy UX of the E-Pad S more enjoyable ... especially in the long run, if you're a frequent Omni user with little patience because you want to stay in the flow 🌊. Because then you notice every tiny detail during the operation (of the e-pad or the phone app) which starts bugging you eventually. To me, the E-Pad S is an absolute must-have, and i'll talk more about it in the Omni review thread.

Is the E-Pad S alone worth the price difference between Plus and Pro?

It would be highly telling if we knew the statistics about the percentage of Nova S Pro users making frequent use of the remote (N Control S) versus the percentage of Omni S Pro users making frequent use of the remote (E-Pad S). I would guess that the one percentage is near 0%, whereas the other percentage is near 100%. Roughly. If so, then better offer the Nova S Plus without the remote at 299€, saving on the environment.

What I hate about the Joola Infinity is that serve balls are really inconsistent, balls just sometimes fall down to the net, extremely annoying.

Like there is nothing holding the balls in the head so the ball do not fall down when shooting head is tilted down. Usually when I have series of serves, the first one fails, and the rest is rather ok.
