Past Innerforce users - what did you move to and why?

Have you considered or previously tried a 7ply like the Clipper wood? At least for me, the feel of solid 7ply blades is fantastic and is not far off inner carbon.

Smashes don't feel as crisp, but they have such a nice predictable feel and I think a lot of people who play with carbon blades would actually be better off on a 7ply (maybe I would as well tbh)

The 2mm Hammond z2 have been trialling and I find its in between dignics and tenergy - it's seems to have close to the control of the dignics and the speed of the tenergy.

Hammond is ... different, yes. good, but different. I like it on the backhand, a lot. it gives a bit firmer feel than some other 50 hardness rubbers but it's still a good feeling rubber. like I said, different to what I am used to, but nice. currently, I set up Viscaria with Rasanter C53 FH and Dignics09c BH, and love it, but that Hammond is looking at me from the blade bag ... 🙈

I did, actually. I have played with a Clipper wood for a few months and didn't quite get on with it at the time. Predictable smashing was definitely not on the table for me and I got my first elbow injury using it.

I did get a Fextra recently which is quite good even though it lacks a bit of power. Mine is on the light side though, I can tell without a scale.
I would rank the Fextra well above Korbel in terms of how good it plays for me, but I think my main issue with Korbel (and probably Clipper too but I sold it) is how the bigger wings don't allow me to grip the way I like.

Sorry but I have to dissagree with this. Mid range is where I won most rallies with that blade.

Absolutely agree with this. It depends much more on the technique and the rubbers.
D09c and not hitting as you loop can feel weak from midrange but properly engaging that sponge it's no issue at all to hit the table and counter looping like that is a D09c strong point. Same for D05 although maybe to a lesser extent.
Use something springy like T05 and also there's no problem, even with poor technique as the sponge will hide some deficiencies.
The blade is enough if you have the correct rubbers and can actually use the properly imo.

I'm currently playing Innerforce layer alc, the only thing I feel I'm missing in this is a harder outer layer.
It has it benefits in rallies in mid distance as you are all talking about which is noticable.

The reason I stay with my equipment is service, receive, open ups and general close range play as I feel very comfortable in this area.

My opinion is that the reason people use ma long blade w985 is because it has a longer blade to make up for this "downside"

I've just got a sheet of Zyre 03 2.7mm and was thinking of gluing it on my old Innerforce Alc for Forehand. Slow soft blade with a ultra hard n fast rubber, anyone's tested this setup? I've got Dignics 05 on the backhand.

I used to play with the Dimitrij Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC, now I'm playing more with the crisp outer Kevlar carbon Joola Tezzo Spartan, and I'm starting to bench the Ovtcharov ALC a little more than I initially predicted.

I think it's subjective as to which is preferred. Both blades can absolutely take you to the highest level, and the game is won by training, tactics and skill.

I moved on due to two subjective reasons;

First, while mid distance powerlooping is the best feeling ever with the Ovtcharov, it doesn't necessarily win me points against strong loopers or good blockers. Outright speed drives, speed loops or flat smashes with good placement, from close distance wins me more points against stronger players, and outer carbon makes it easier for me to do that.

Second, I really like the crisp, direct feel and vibration of an outer carbon. The deep ball hold of the Ovtcharov is a nice feel as well, but direct crisp sensation actually helps me to control placement better.

It will be pretty bouncy, and might be too hard to control if forehand is not your suite. I'm very confident with my forehand and am forehand dominant, but I didn't like how the Zyre-03 felt a little unpredictable on softer blades. It was almost as if the rubber felt harder than the blade itself, which is a weird feeling. One can definitely get used to it, I reckon. But I don't prefer it.

If your confident, it can definitely destroy. But in my opinion, the Zyre 03 is better on more linear, outer carbon, direct blades. The softness of the Innerforce makes the rubber feel bouncier and a little unpredictable.

From PG7, which I broke, I went to DHS 301, at first there were problems with backhand mostly, then I get used to it. Play with it for 2,5ish years. Then, just out of nostalgia, got again PG7. For backhand play, it was a hundred times better, a better and clearer feeling of the ball, which was basically the alpha and omega for playing well there. Stay with it until now, could not come back. Tried also Timo Boll Spirit, Fan Zhendong ALC, could not feel the ball at all. Tried again 301, unplayable on backhand side. For me, it was like night and day. I was surprised how much I "hated" not feeling the ball.

Sometimes, on forehand, I feel it is a little bit slower than I would need to, though it still offers too much control, which compensates for some killer shots, which are rarer than needed to actually get the ball on the table.
