Two players place an O-ring and a TT ball on the O-ring 4 inches from the right hand edge and corner if both players are right handed. You get a point every time you hit the opponents TT-ball off the O-ring. When you are done with this then place the O-ring and balls in your BH corner. Play to 10. You will see that to score points you need accuracy and consistency. There is no need for extremely fast (boosted or speed glued ) spin rubbers/blades to win, just player consistency.
Now you have a trade off. You can hit the ball slower to be more consistent but now your opponent is returning your slower ball and perhaps with more consistency.
One thing I have always wondered about is how consistent are TT players. It seem that no measurements have been do. There is no data of the standard deviation or variance a person has. What is sad is most people don't know what a standard deviation is or variance, let alone how to calculate it. Sad.
