Ovtcharov alc I used quite some time allready with different rubber combinations (pk 50 both sides, Dignics 09c both sides or Dignics 05/80 backhand, Glayzer09/Glayzer, LGY I like too. Both are quite good.

Today I did an standard irregular exercise with Ovtcharov alc for some rubber testing: coach was serving long underspin randomly to backhand/middle/forehand side - l loop it and he keep blocking randomly to different parts of the table. After the practice he was telling me that today after I keep so many balls back and with quality on irregular and other exercises - it was my best performance in all time in his opinion. And my coach is rarely telling me that I good in something.

But I also did a lot of training in past three or four months (3-4 hours almost everyday, sometimes two training a day) - but whatever Ovtcharov alc is very suitable blade as many are. It is hard and kinda thicker with larger head in comparison with LGY or Viscaria SALC. Depends on your needs and preferable rubbers 🤓

I told myself until I jump about ~400 in rankings Im not getting myself a new blade. However when I do go get a new blade, Ovhcharov one seems super interesting. I think I’m a little bit biased because he’s one of my favorite players and would love to have his blade Let me know how you like it!

True, it has better control than viscaria, feeling is very Good, has lots of speed gears. Happy with that...

Played about 3 hrs, since rubbers newly attached as you can see, I can not say the exact feeling but it is good. It is better to test in another training.

I'm deciding which rubber to use on BH of my 36.5 ALX, I'm debating between ACC, Hybrid MK and PRO AM, all in max version. Please let us know how you like MK on BH of Otcharov (I played with it for half a season) and also please share the weight uncut of Hybrid MK blue thanks

It has nice feeling not super soft, but more on a softish side. I used to more of a hard rubber (classic hybrids) so now I adjusting my technique to not hitting that hard as I used to. Needed time to adapt anyway I put in on two of my blades backhands and will be using it for at least a month - will see.
The weight of uncut mk hybrid was about 65 gram - 45 after cutting and gluing on a blade

Got a used Stiga Banda Carbon SF from a well known coach in my area for under $80. Really good blade, according to my other friend who tried it and had a W968 before said it's very close to the W968.

When I first started playing I wanted to be a chopper but quickly realised the regular playstyle is much more straight forward and easier to get into. After watching Hashimoto's excellent results over the last few weeks I decided to go for it for a bit of fun

I chose Victas Koji Matsushita as he made chopping look so fun, I've watched a lot of his old matches. This one specifically always inspires me to give chopping a go

ps: i have learnt that neatly cutting long pips is very difficult

Yes can be playable on FH but lacks with speed when you are far from table sometimes...

To be fair, I think that P1 is one of the more difficult rubbers to use, it is somewhat unforgiving compared to other commonly used chopping long pips like feint 2/3

Whenever I read about MK, it is described as a good backhand rubber. I play it on FH. It is the best FH rubber I have tried.

Its all about personal preference some one likes more softer rubber for a forehand another harder one for a backhand and most popular its when its other way around. But MK can be very decent rubber for a forehand from what i already know about it. But i will use it on backhand still
