I'm also interested in the Sword blade. Are you happy with it?
Unfortunately not many sellers has it in stock, maybe it's discontinued?
I found it at https://www.ppongsuper.com/product/sword-vsea-5w2vc-offensive-table-tennis/ for USD 52.15. Seems like a good price, the few sellers on Aliexpress who sells it charges more than USD 100. Yikes!

Anyone here ordered from ppongsuper?
The price should be around 50$.
When i test VSEA with J3 Asia 40deg, the feeling is as same as other inner ALC, but a bit stiffer, i think Vectran-Carbon of this blade is close to ZLC. This blade is a little faster and little less spin to my main blade is Resonate AI.

Tibhar Evolution MX-P - backhand
Tibhar MK Hybrid - forehand

Decided to switch from Chinese rubbers to faster EU rubbers without any hope and... The results went up dramatically, like 2 levels above I had before. I just began destroying my peers and people I used to lose against.

Why haven't I done it earlier and just kept trying every Chinese rubber and boosting them... My goodness.
Answer is simple, really. We are blinded by the nearly limitless top end of H3, as if we could actually tap that possibility.

What we need is actually a more forgiving rubber than H3 to support our lack of skill and maybe power.

As someone who relies on heavy spin, I always believed it's better to reach for the maximum spin potential of H3. Plus it elevated my atrocious short game and spurred playing very aggressively as there is no block to fall back to.

I still believe that when you're at your 100% best, H3 makes you almost invincible and only sky is the limit. However, maintaining that level even during one tournament day is merely impossible.

I just rerget wasting my time (not money because it's all cheap) for trying out every praised rubber from DHS, Yinhe, 729, and Loki and boosting them like a madman for years :D

I'm doing exactly this! Are you just saying I choose the wrong path?

My idea behind this strategy is to learn good FH tecnique with tacky, slowish chinese rubbers and then (eventually or maybe) switch back to euro tensors. On my BH I still use tensor rubber.

I restarted my TT hobby last year after a 30 year hiatus, and quickly noticed that I didn't like the "new" bouncy tensor rubbers. And there are so many and so cheap chinese tacky rubbers I want to try out.

Am I just wasting my time and money?

Honestly? Yes. The logical strategy would have been to find a less bouncy Euro rubber, or even play classic, because you know what it does.

I've been on the wrong side of this journey, too, after my first new tensor (Rakza 7) was disappointingly bouncy for its performance but the internet says it's such a medium rubber. Wasted lots of time trying to get used to H3 which is a great rubber, sure, but I can't get much out of it with my style except really spinny slow loops.
Muscle memory doesn't lie. I don't like it, and I need a complete change of form and playstyle to utilize it.
I'm moving back towards less sensitive Euro rubber.

Honestly, I have just begun dipping my toes into the "wrong" side, haha. Trying out some transition rubbers and have not reached Battle 2 or H3 territory yet. This far, Double Fish FC218 Spin is my favourite. I really like Yinhe Blue Moon on BH too.

Next step is to put on some 729 Battle III and Big Dipper 2, have you tried those?

Hey it's a fun journey if anything :)

But if I could advise myself a year ago, I'd have done things a lot different. I would have bought myself two of the same decent 5-plies, put something sensible on one to play matches with, and use the other for direct comparison.

I like the idea of EJ a lot better if I do it for the sake of just playing something different every once in a while. Playing EJ because I actually think I need a better rubber or blade is a lot less fun.

Yes, go straight for H3, there is nothing like it….

And don’t forget to boost… It’s half of the fun…

Cheers

The short answer is: YES.

I think it's only worth trying them if you want to have fun instead of improving the game. The only cheap Chinese rubber I miss is Saturn Pro from Yinhe (medium, soft, or super-soft), its peak user-friendliness was really something.

Why would you use tensor after spending your time training using hard chinese tacky rubber? If you plan to use tensor rubbers later on, stick with it from now on by finding one that you feel suitable for you. C1, Vega Euro, Barracuda good options for you.
