since you are a tall guy i thought i'd post this video for you that was promoted to my on youtube.
here is a 2m tall guy and you might have a look at his style and his forehand stroke (which is quite short and compact). Perhaps there is something to take away from him for you

ye those are good. He def plays the FH like I am trying to learn atm. Big difference is he doesn't use his forearm at all it's almost always at 90° and he gets the entire power from hip rotation.

He also likes going back. I kind of stopped going back but want to go take that double jump stepping back and then still attack the ball. Other than that he probably has trained that shot millions of times I wonder how long I will need to implement that in my game. Hard to copy someone who goes all out kind of the opposite playstyle of mine. I block much more. Do you know what TTR this is?

Feel like as long as players get spin in the ball the technique is less important. Feel like players with more stiff arm often get a stable stroke since they need to move the body in the stroke. Think this work good with some kids, force them to have arm still then they need to learn to use the body.

Feels like the pound the shit out of the ball all the time and they play good. I do think it sometimes looks better many times than it is.
Serve, return, short short, placement and variation can get you very far and do not look as cool haha
Believe players like Waldner, Truls and samsonov are good at this. Do not think they look much better than us when they do the play in with counter, block and loop but are really good at the stuff that do not look as cool.

No but if you are coaching someone and he nets often it's very obscure to tell him to close your racket angle more.

Anyway in my new club in Swiss a rich guy got us a coach and payed him full season in advance so till april or so every Friday we will have him. He is from Czech Rep and his name is Michal Kubat. played vs the likes of Franziska P. when they were ~14y and now plays I think in 2nd highest League in Swiss so like 3 Divisions higher than where I will play. Crazy thing is cuz of injuries etc he didn't make it to pro and still has that level without training for 12years. He mainly coaches and plays his league matches.

The video is in german but tldr: He exposed my weakness. I was def not prepared for this fast of multiball. Basically saw that I am not loading against these faster balls. And that I am breaking my motion at contact. Sometimes hit too late. He also said I am moving too much with the right foot. When he was 1 month in china they looped standing on the ground maybe only lifting the right heel but never moving distances. It also sucks for the next ball which I agree and happened here to me aswell. I don't know if we will be able to fix anything with just 1x a week multiball but this already made me push to my limits. You can see in the video how my technique even breaks and looks worse by having a not so stable arm. It kind of wiggles during the shot. I also produced some of my highest quality shots in this session compared to the sum of my past training sessions xD. In a real match I would go half ass or block these shots. 6:46 was the best but for some reason my arm follow through looks terrible. I don't know maybe I am too fixated on how my follow through looks so different each time and I should worry only about the ball that I produced. In this session I just tried to listen and do what he said. So there was no capacity left to think about how my follow through looks or anything else. Enjoy the Video it might help someone who is at the same stage at me.

Are you playing in Horn, or only training there?
