Hi guys,

I want to try out a Hinoki Blade. I never tried one and I read that its feeling is amazing for looping. I am using H3 on FH, Tensor on BH.
I looked around and it doesnt seem that many Hinoki blades are available. I am looking for one that has moderate speed, not faster than my Hugo HAL / 36.5 ALX. I am looking for nice feeling, nice dwell, and nice ball-grab for some crazy spin action.

Please recommend me a blade with good price-value to try out. I read good things about the Darker Hinoki 7P-2a Carbon, but its around 200€ on TT11, which is a bit much.

Thanks!

You need a 1ply to get that special feeling. And it’s all shots. The multi ply blades usually have a real thin outer layer and that’s not gonna give that feeling.

I like a blade with a thickish soft (spruce or Hinoki) top layer and a hard layer under it. One blade that I think feels great is Nittaku S-CZ. I have a few hinoki blades too but the S-CZ is non 1 ply blade that has the best feel for me still…

Cheers

Honda Civic, the iconic dream ride of all Asian hot blooded dude in the 90's, 2000's and beyond. It comes in many iteration; the regular, the S.I., the R-Type etc, each one more awesome than the previous.

Similarly, hinoki blade comes in many interation, three ply, five ply, seven ply; but the most awesome ever in the 10.5mm super thick monster to be paired with Tenergy 05 / 05fx / 05 Hard.

NB: For those gaijin ( foreigners ) who are unfamiliar with the Civic, you may replace Civic with VW Golf.

H3 on Hinoki doesn’t sound like a good fit imo
Haven’t tested (on a 1 ply) but I think it’s gonna he a great fit. I got 3 1 ply’s . 1 jpen, 1 cpen and one shake hand. The only one I’ve tried so far is the jpen. I got Rakza 7 on it and it works great, fast as a rocket though..,.
On a multiple ply I know it will work great…

Joola Nobolis PBO-C is a 5 ply with a thick hinoki outer layer. It's definitely feels like a mix of one ply and regular multi layered.
It's my main blade and I think it lends itself to a wider variety of playstyles than 1 plys.

Nittaku Miyabi is a good blade if you want to try what a 1 ply hinoki feel like, and it's relatively affordable. It's 9mm thick, but it feel soft and it's fast.

Septear is a 7 ply hinoki, good option but never tried it so i don't know how it feel.
Septear feels incredible. Crazy control and great value. If your form is correct, will have enough horsepower unless you play really far back.
