Round Robin system question

I played some local matches today and there were these results in one group.
123
Player 1
X1:33:2
Player 23:1X0:3
Player 32:33:0X

The local guys said, that Player 3 is first, Player 1 is second, but Player 2 is third.
I don't agree with this, because Player 2 won Player 1 and they have an equal coefficient of -1, so Player 2 should be second and Player 1 - third.

What is the correct order of places taken?

I think it depends on the system. I agree with your order, but who knows, maybe their rule is that after you count the +- set balance wins the one that won the most sets... Yet, the order that you mentioned seems more logical to me. Since player 3 is without doubt the winner, it becomes a two-sided tie between player 1 and player 2.

Depends on the system. Tournaments in my region usually are rated like that:

1. Difference won / lost matches. They all have 1:1 = 0 here.
2. Difference won / lost sets. Player 1 has -1, Player 2 has -1, Player 3 has +2. Player 1 is 1st.
3. Head-to-head. Player 1 lost to player 2. Player 2 is 2nd and player 3 is 3rd.
