I have just been umpiring at the Oceania Championships in Christchurch New Zealand and one of the top players from Australia, Aditya Sareen, uses this rubber, Zyre 03, on his backhand.
As I have been able to inspect this rubber close up and watch him play with it, I have been able to get some details.
The sponge is almost slightly pinkish purple, definitely not the same as Dignics, it's a European style spinny rubber but with a very thick sponge, when Aditya blocks it takes all of the power out of the ball super easily, but he still hits some absolute ripper backhands with it. It is likely meant to replicate a boosted rubber in my opinion as even though he has already likely had his sheet boosted it is barely legal in terms of thickness due to the thick sponge and slightly thinner topsheet.

Opposite I think. Zeed is grippy and non tacky and Zyre is grippy and slightly tacky

Zyre is no more tacky than dignics 09c, it could be a hybrid rubber but it doesn't look or feel tacky

You are correct - Zyre is still being tested by Butterfly advisory staff now, it is mild tacky and a little softer than 09c.

I can't speak to a general consensus of all testers but from those I did speak to it seems like it will be pretty close to what @RefereeNumber2 says here. Basically, not a drastic change but a "less Chinese" 09c. Those used to 09c will probably be inclined to stay with 09c but some 05 users may take the step up.

Sounds like Sareen (BH) has made the change from 05 to Zyre, unsure if permanently, seems like Harimoto and Togami, former D05 users, are still going with it as well.

Given the upcoming press release at the end of August (the Chinese caption on Instagram and WeChat clearly states 发布/press release), the release date is probably November at the earliest (very rare for a brand-new flagship model), with the first batch reaching retailers a few weeks to a month ahead.

Aibiss was the only time in recent years the press release and release date were so close together.

A reputable table tennis factory of China is known to have adopted Stigley's "magic" formulas as it is, with the only slight modification. (dont ask names from me, please).
