Rxton 5 blue/pink

Anyone try it? How does it compare to the rxton 3 pink?

I've used both on backhand, both great rubbers. Rxton 3 blue/pink are quite hard and require a good amount of boosting to be playable on backhand. Rxton 5 are softer and springier and maybe more heavily boosted in the factory (?) but they're still pretty hard. Probably both are suitable as a forehand rubber for most people.

My Rxton 3 rubbers weighed substantially more than my Rxton 5 (66g vs 59g uncut). A clubmate of mine uses Rxton 5 blue on forehand, I've tried his setup and it feels a bit softer than your average Hurricane 3 orange sponge but still quite powerful.

Rxton 5 blue comes with a white sponge, by the way. I don't know why the picture shows it with a black sponge.

My R5 Blue has a black sponge, interesting

Anyways I agree with your assessment of the R5, it is a surprisingly nice rubber, sticky and good spin with a nicely springy feeling for a firm Chinese rubber

Interesting, I really love my rxton 3 on bh. I never boosted. It doesn't feel soft but it feels amazing for punches and blocks. Ty for sharing.
