I got it for a cheaper price, since i got my salc from jpn. I think it suits me ok other than the fact it is slightly head heavy. I havent tried many bats cos im relatively new but i like my blade feels to me more comfortable than others that i tried. It is prob because i trained with it for quite a while alr. Idm buying a new bat. Btw should i go with viscaria or should i try smth new and different maybe like felix's new bat or Xuxins?
Well, I play with long 5 and Chinese rubbers on both sides, so I am ofc biased towards DHS blades and Chinese rubbers. I see that you are using H3 for your forehand. If you like Chinese rubbers, then I think you should get either Xu Xin`s blade or a DHS one. Idk about felix`s blade but I do also like innerforce zlc.

Flexibility and hardness of the blade feels very different with penhold.

Butterfly FZD sALC in shakehand is not that flexible, somewhat soft for koto outer blade, but it feels extremely stable, like solid rock. It is similar to ZJK Alc in that regard, but softer and slower. I would not recomend playing with such kind of blade in penhold.

Usually penholders prefere more flexible blades, because it gives you more feeling, in shakehand more flexible blades doesn't really give you more, they just feel different, so matter of preference. In penhold you could really use all the flex and make better shots. So I would advice you to buy some cheap but good flexible chinese blade with koto. Yinhe pro-03, DHS 301, DHS AcB. Great blades for penhold, and they don't cost much.

And from there you can understand what you really want from your blade for your preference and try something different with clear goal in mind.

Also I would not recomend you Stiga Dynasty Carbon, I played with that blade and it's definitely not for everyone. And it cost a lot of money. Same with butterfly blades.

When i was transitioning to penhold i tried playing with the same blades what i liked in shakehand and found out that they did not work the same with different grip. So i spend quite a lot of money trying to find the type of blades what i would like in penhold.

So I think it would be better for you to start with something inexpensive and move from there. As you get better with the new grip your demands from the blade would change, so spending a lot of money right from the start are not recomended, considering that penhold blades are much harder to sell on second hand market
