So I tried to see whether I could rehabilitate Skyline 2 on backhand by putting it on both sides of a Cybershape. Maybe the issues with blocking were because the blade was slow...well no, the blocking still sucked on the Cybershape Carbon. Skyline 2 is the first rubber in a while where I have definitely given up on using it in the backhand. So I have finally found a "forehand rubber" lol.

More seriously, I played reasonably well with the Skyline 2 and Skyline 3 setup, but I have spent so many more hours using the H3 blue sponge and Skyline 3 that I am probably going to stick with that for a bit. I probably should get a Skyline 2 Blue sponge to compare but at this point I have events coming up in the last week of June so I need to just play and focus.

So in general - Skyline 3 definitely better for backhand than Skyline 2 with my technique and power level.

Yeah, on the backhand you have to use it actively to counterattack. If you use it to block, you will end up fishing far behind the table (something that I like doing but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea).

So I tried a Gewo sticky rubber on a Viscaria SALC and I really couldn't control the forehand (too fast). So I went to pick up my regular blade and forgot that I had built a combo like it with Skyline 3 forehand and Dignics 05 backhand and simply picked up the first blade from my bag that had black on forehand that was a Garaydia ALC. So I end up playing with Skyline 3 on forehand for the first time for a most of my matches on the day without realizing it.

The blocking and countering transferred over beautifully to my forehand. I don't remember smash countering and blocking so many loops off the bounce and even late with my forehand before. I could also loop kill high underspin sidespin popups like whoa!

This DHS rubbers have my head on a swivel. So Skyline 3 BS is now on my shopping list.
