The guide Stiga publishes in Sweden for beginners has been updated as follows:
Year 1 - learn the basics: Rubber Stiga Star Future (previously Mantra Control where suggested).
Year 2 - learn spin and loop: Stiga Mantra Sound
Year 3 - increase speed and spin: DNA Platinum S
Recommendation from Stiga is that all those rubbers are combined with Stiga Classic Round or Cybershape (previously only Cybershape where recommended).
Malte Möregårdh: " Start with a blade with good control and improve the rubbers at the right time is the right way to go."
Ulf Tickan Carlsson: "Control and feeling are the keys in the beginning. A thougtful progression in materials will help the player develop and understand."
Marcus Sjöberg: " I see too many players that chooses to fast blades and rubbers too early. To build the basics step by step is important for stability and long term benefit."
All of the above is loosely translated from Swedish by myself.
