hello, im an intermidiate defender who plays with chen weixing joola blade for a good 4 years now, an amazing blade whith rhyzer 48 on fh and curl p-4 bh but it breaks really easely
after searching the internet and going into the rabithole that is defending in tabletennis i decided on diode butterfly changing alltogheter to feint long 3 for more bite in the chops
and well dignics 09c in the fh.. this was a mistake it is too fast for me to cossistently chop going from 5 to around 8 returns confidently to max 3 in per point so not very good at all for a defender i also dont like the feel of the blade. i liked the intense spin on the serves tho!

i read the innershield ZFL would be viable discribing it to be similar in character to my old blade combining it with curl p1 or fl3 on bh and glayzer 09c on the fh
is this worth a try?
i dont want to fall for the same trap that it wil be too fast or is not what i expected
my playstiye is more classic then modern but when a high spin ball comes i counter ,passive balls i open etc i dont just give the ball back, i chop or try to chop on both sides

other recomendations?
since ill have my first training from a defense player in 2 months only for a few days tho :( i want to get used to the gear so i can improve and make the most of the lessons
i have had alot of recomendations but none from an actual defense player. hence the mistake of the dignics 09c.

any tips on training for a defender, tactics, etc etc are also very welcome!
very hungry to improve and learn!

thanks in advance guys :)

no, the dignics 09c, to chop atleast the counter and spin its fine in fact way better, but for blocking topspin in my fh or chopping if feel way to fast resulting in me having to chop less and having me to think about it too much.on the pips the p4 is way softer then the fl3, the best i can describe it is that p4 i can feel the pips bend butter smooth while fl 3 feel very stiff to bend the pips while chopping but thats more of a get used to it i think i want it more to generate my own spin. on this with chops, its not fast at all. but faster then my old setup.

Maybe you had to take 09c in 1.9 thickness
