table tennis variables

Lots of posts on all types of variables in table tennis-balls, rubber, blades, etc. I see very little discussion on table tennis tables.
We have mainly Joola 3000 tables at the club, but also a stiga 30 mm optima table (which is generally the preference of most of our players-an excellent value for the price imo). When we go to tournaments we are always struck by how different the tables are-usually butterfly centerfold tables-the ball seems to skip off the table and underspin balls just stop. Is it just us? I find table differences way more important than tournament balls for instance.
So why don't we buy some centerfold tables? Frankly money-and lack thereof.

thanx for any opinions.

Yes, different tables feels different. Some might need some time to adjust. But, rubber, blade, glue, shoes, sometimes balls, etc. are things that you have influence on. Tables are usually out of your control. You just play on tables that are available at location where you decided to play. That's why there is not much to discuss.

Great mobility, great bounce, affordable price. Upper surface not reflective at all, no unhealthy irritation to your eye.

COR is the key.

You cant make a correct choice when shopping for a good table model unless you understand a factual value of Coefficient of dynamic Rectitution (CoR) of the table playing surface. TIBHAR is known to offer lower CoR as against DHS, and is a real luxury to play on, due to controllable gameplay with well-tempered bounce of the ball.
Be sure you know CoR factual numbers for each table on market. Ask for CoR from a manufacturer directly.
