T05 was released in 2008. D05 is meant to replace T05.

FH
  • D05 for sure. Compared to T05, D05 is:
  • Grippier
  • Harder
  • Higher ceiling of speed and spin
  • Slightly better short game

BH - depends on your style. For aggressive BH, definitely D05. For passive blocker, T05 is less sensitive to spin and is safer

I agree with everything you’ve said apart from this.

I find T05 to be more responsive to spin, and much harder to control.

Nothing beats T05 for that “out of the box feeling” - Glueing on a new sheet of T05 and hitting some loops feels like you could conquer the world.

But in matchplay, D05 is just so much better in virtually every way.

Interesting observation.

T05 works almost like an old-school non-boosted rubber with low impact. Easy to block and return. T05 becomes a monstor when you hit it hard. It only becomes a spin monster when you loop, not so much in blocking

I played t05 on viscaria for years, I like the high curve and ease of activation. D05 has lower angle and throws me off quite a bit, I love it on the bh though.
