The only way i can ever see messing up my serve is if I lost focus on the serve itself. If I'm focused on what to do after the serve that's when i see myself potentially messing my serve up.

All sports are have those kinds of last moment collapses or comebacks. The flip side of any amazing come from behind win is the other side or team's collapse.

From the perspective of the Steelers, that was the ultimate comeback. Zero seconds left on the clock when Franco Harris scored. From the perspective of the Raiders, that is a complete fluke and completely out of their control. They did everything right. Bradshaw had nobody open. The Raiders blocked the ball away from the intended receiver. But Harris grabbed the ball just before it hit the ground and had an open field because the play wasn't anywhere near where he caught the deflection. But somehow he remained ready and got to the deflection just before it hit he ground and caught it with his fingertips. Imagine the emotions on the Raiders sidelines.

There are hundreds of examples like this. This is what makes sports dramatic. Real, Live, Drama! You can't know the outcome till the last point is over or the clock runs out depending on the sport.

And it is my understanding that you need to learn how to handle and overcome those instances where you thought you had a match in hand only to end up losing in a heartbreaker, to become a true champion. The long, hard road to any true championship win is paved with many heartbreaking loses as well as long, hard years of training.
