Koreans are ecstatic about this 11 yr old son of legendary Oh Sang-eun and many are considering him the next Harimoto in this country. Lets keep an eye on this child prodigy.

I was curious how good he is. Found some videos. Seriously, anyone who thinks Harimoto choing is annoying must watch these videos

Is he proud to be called Korean Harimoto? As with Asian culture I think it is a disgrace for the Korean kid and his dad instead of a praise.

Look at that backhand drive. Plays just like his dad. Thankfully, he's not as ugly as him, haha! But comparing Oh junior to Harimoto is like comparing an electric car to a lawnmower.

Based on my limited knowledge of Koreans, they would just claim Harimoto to be Korean, just like how they claim Jeremy Lin and Confucius as Korean too

Recently, Ryu seung-min wanted to adopt a kid from China and train him to be the next big champ. The govt turned his request down. Somehow, there is a feeling in Korea that Japan might get the next olympic gold courtesy Harimoto although he is Chinese and Chinese have something in their genes to excel in TT

Maybe RSM has some Chinese genes too then

I think in Harimoto's case, he gave up his Chinese citizenship to become 100% Japanese (this is the requirement of become Japanese citizen - they don't allow due nationalities)

A lot of your "exports" tend to still hold onto Chinese passport/citizenship.
So there are a lot of doubts of the "purpose" of moving over.

I guess with Harimoto, he is more Japanese than he is Chinese now

In today's table tennis in these strong TT countries, other than having a well skilled kid, the parents would also need to have the money and connections to make the kid "complete"
