Tenergy 05 FX
Donic Acuda S2
Andro Hexer Powergrip SFX
Andro Hexer Grip

I tried all, and all are my favorites. If you already have good mechanics and can utilize the shot selection window on your backhand through your muscle memory then hands down 05 FX is what you should use. If however, you want more fault tolerance then S2 or Andro rubbers are the way to go.

Small update: I had the chance to buy a little-used sheet of tenergy 05 fx and after trying it out I was surprised and it wasn’t a surprise of the unpleasant sort (mostly).

Pro: lower effort attacking shots are of higher quality and more safe than harder rubbers for me (i.e more spin and the catapult is helpful for safety over the net).

Neutral (user issue): still need to adjust for the rubber’s catapult in the short game. It’s spin reactive but not uncomfortably so. My biggest issue is handling the early catapult but it should be possible.

Cons: close to the table it’s not the best rubber for power looping on the backhand and hoping that your opponent will be overwhelmed by the spin. The max spin levels are on par with the max spin levels of something like Rakza 7 soft.

About the comparison with rakza 7 soft the 05 fx may have a spin level that is a touch higher but it’s probably not by much (I used Rakza 7 soft quite a while back) but the spin levels on low effort shots are much higher. And combining this with the catapult effect and the high-ish arch makes this rubber exremely fault tolerant while having a higher quality shot output on an average than similarly fault tolerant soft rubbers. I plan to stick with this sheet and see how it changes my game :)

Since you're used to a tacky rubber, that's not surprising as T05FX does not brush loop as well as tacky rubbers.
Good to hear you're making it work though, it's a very good rubber and very durable too.

Thank you ! I think it is a great rubber to stick with since my game is actually improving with this :)

Why go for soft? Have you tried a harder rubber like the Stiga Mantra Pro H? Paired with the right blade, it is the best setup I have tried and I've even stopped looking for anything better. It's giving me professional results and all I need to do to get the ball I want is to adjust my technique and it gives me what I need. It's Japanese quality and also quite affordable at $35 from aliexpress.
