The rubber thickness can affect the blades stiffness?

So I've searched among many sellers and I didn't find a PG7 heavier than 88.9g(from the new series with smaller head size). The best alternative that I found was the same 729 L5 that I have, but in 93g!

It's a midterm, not so light as the 88g clipper that I've bought and not so heavy as the 99g one that I've got. Hope that's enough to solve my question, despite practicing!! I'll post video in the future! I'll try to film my tournaments! ;)

4 things:
1. 99 gr is definitely too heavy for a blade. Even Ma Long's blade is not that heavy.
2. Viscaria and HL5 are perfectly fine blade. If you dont like these 2 then it's your technique not the equipment.
3. Thickness of your sponge doesnt matter. If you want easier backhand go for softer sponge instead of thinner sponge.
4. 5 plies, 7 plies, 9 plies, hinoki, koto, limba. Equipment doesn't matter much but practice will! I know many good players with different kind of equipment.

jia you!

Thank you for your advice! [emoji2] I know and I like both HL5 and Viscaria! But I've decided to improve my BH technique so I've slowed down a bit to 7 ply! I have to disagree about softer is better to improve technique, every time I used softer rubber always bottomed out when I do harder strokes, and with thinner sponge I feel much more safe and doesn't bottom out with harder strokes, I feel harder and thinner sponge is better to improve technique in the long run, at least is what I feel [emoji14] why do you prefer softer rubber to improve the technique?
