It's in JTTA's best interest after WTT SCT London/Muscat 2025, XTWC 2025 and WTT F Hong Kong 2025. Doubles will be the main battlefield even though WR will be the major selection criterion.

Of the 3,
Hirano could remain somewhat competitive if she gives it another push given her sturdy body type (here and here) and to my surprise she will play WD with Kihara at Zennihon Takkyu 2026;
Hayata's injury- and disease-prone body type is just unsettling, and 3 years down the road?;
Ito's solo personality and the limit of her playing style and stubby body type are frankly out of tune with XT.

According to Kihara's Instagram entry, she had always wanted to play WD with Hirano but ultimately the pair was struck up per JTTA's recommendation (Sports Hochi reports that Kihara approached and invited Hirano). Harimoto/Nagasaki and Kihara/Hirano, an interesting development (here and here)...

　ただ、今大会は強化本部推薦でペアとしては初出場。普段からの仲の良さをコートでも発揮し、決勝まで勝ち上がった。木原は「美宇さんと組ませていただいて、この銀メダルを取ることができてうれしい」と表情は晴れやかだった。今大会の結果により、来年のスーパーシードも獲得。平野は「来年も出られると聞いたので、全日本でリベンジできるように頑張りたい」と意気込んだ。

　平野は４歳差のペアの強みを「仲の良さ」と断言する。これまでダブルスを組んだのはＴリーグの１試合だけだったが、以前から「（大会で）一回組んでみたいね」と話していたという。ともに前期ナショナルチームメンバーで強化本部推薦の要件も満たしていたことから、木原が誘い、全日本への挑戦が決まった。

　練習拠点は平野が神奈川、木原が名古屋と離れているが、シングルスの全日本選手権閉幕翌日に平野が名古屋入りし、数日間練習を重ねた。当初は右利き同士のペアで連係に課題があったが、木原は「どんどん良くなっている」と手応え。平野も「（木原は）昔からダブルスがうまい印象があったけど、表（バック面のラバー）の強みをすごく生かしてると思った。レシーブやサーブもうまいので、先手を取れたり、ここぞという時に前で決める力もある」と信頼を寄せた。

　大会前は練習後に木原の案内で連日、ひつまぶし、親子丼、みそ煮込みうどん、手羽先など名古屋名物を堪能した。平野「練習は真剣に、終わったら一緒にご飯を食べたりするのが、すごくリフレッシュになっている」という。２月１日の準決勝は前回大会優勝の麻生麗名、笹尾明日香（日本生命）組と対戦する。平野は「ここまで来たら優勝したい。向かっていく気持ちを忘れず、挑戦して勝ちたい」。“名古屋めし”を活力に、同種目の自身初制覇を誓った。

(Amidst all this, it was captain Miu Hirano who turned the tide. In the T League, she paired up with Miyu Kihara (currently with Top Otome Ping Pongs Nagoya) for the first time since last season, and this time she teamed up with Kotona Okada. "We lost 0-4, so the team didn't have many chances. The atmosphere after the loss wasn't good," Hirano said. She met with coach Yoshiki Oji and personally proposed using them in doubles.

Though they lost 1-2 to the pair Asuka Sasao and Anna Kamizawa, they displayed strong play throughout the match, commenting, "It was our first time pairing, but we were able to compete against a well-established pair, and we were able to maintain a good team atmosphere."

Furthermore, in the following singles match, she won in straight sets against Kaho Akae, contributing significantly to the team's victory. "Yesterday, I watched the match on video, but when things didn't go well, I wasn't able to respond quickly. Today, I think it was good that I was able to prepare by taking notes and making notes on my phone," she said, revealing that her strategies were successful.

Hirano also commented, "Yesterday's game ended on a gloomy note, both in terms of content and atmosphere, so my goal was to play better than yesterday. Rather than the result, I thought it was more important to make everyone who came want to come again." As captain, he led the team to victory in front of a packed crowd of 2,306 spectators.

This was the first time that Yokohama had been hosting this match in six years, and despite the absence of key players, KA Kanagawa achieved a valuable victory over Nippon Life.)

I've spoken to two national level coaches about this and their opinion is very different from yours. It's hard to embarrass myself when I don't say things like that Sora Matsushima is struggling with his teammates just like Sun Yang is.

Maybe things are different in CTTSL as I don't follow it, but they absolutely do care about the results in T-League. They've edited it out for online distribution, but I recall watching the livestream when Miu Hirano lost to Mikuu Izumo, the camera panned to ZYL consoling Hirano who was crying. I'm quite sure she took the match seriously.

You havw chosen the idea things that are complicated are black and white as you usually do tonsatgisfy your own ego. Again, players have various approaches to league play partly because league play is often a substantial source of income for them and is often much more than what they earn playing on tour. Taking the approach that one is taken seriously and rhe other less so is the kind of thing that only someone who thinks everyone should be like him would continue to push because there is no nuance in such thinking. A friend of mine who used tobplay in the Polish and German leagues said that the pressure to win when he had bad seasons often left him depressed. You will continue to embarrass yourself by pushing this narrative that when Togami beats someone in TTBL, it doesn't matter but when he loses to them on tour it does.

People try ot new things in tournaments as well so this attitude that that only happens in the league is ridiculous, there is risk and reward evaluation that goes into trying out new things in TT.

先日のＴリーグの試合では平野美宇選手の左膝には久々にサポーターがなかった。このサポーターについてはこれまで何も言われていないけれども、左足が良くなっているのなら喜ばしい。今後の活躍にも大いに期待したい。
(In the recent T.League match, Hirano Miu was without a supporter on her left knee for the first time in a while. Nothing has been said about this supporter, but it would be good to see her left leg improving. I have high hopes for her future success.)
