Hashimoto and Aso withdraw from selection tournament for Asian Championships

Below is a translation of the article based on DeepL

On the 25th, the Japan Table Tennis Association announced that Honoka Hashimoto (Denso) and Reina Aso (Hyakujushi Bank) had withdrawn from the national qualifying tournament for the Asian Championships, which is set to begin the following day, the 26th.

Although Hashimoto finished as the singles runner-up and Aso won the doubles title at the WTT Contender Lagos just prior to the event, their return flight was significantly delayed. Both players explained on their Instagram Stories that they were forced to withdraw due to the major flight delay, apologizing to those involved and expressing their determination to continue playing in the future.

On social media, comments such as “I guess the players returning from the Africa tour just couldn’t make it in time” and “The schedule is way too packed” “It’s a shame, but there’s nothing to be done,” “I feel so sorry for them,” “First and foremost, I hope they return home safely,” and “They’re still in their 20s. I hope they take care of themselves so they don’t burn out physically or mentally.”

Imo, it's not a problem for Hashimoto because she will most likely qualify via world ranking.

Sora has changed to Okayama Rivets the same team as Harimoto and Hao Shuai. I guess the beef between Harimoto and Sora were just rumours.

Anyone know if Hao Shuai playing again next season or this was the reason they signed Sora due to him leaving?

[Table Tennis] Miu Hirano to transfer to T.League Kyushu team to take on her ninth season in a new environment.

... As he was considering his future career in search of further growth for his ninth season, he received an offer from Kyushu, which is willing to support him, including participation in international tournaments, and negotiations appear to be progressing smoothly. ...
I understand why she did this. If she wants to become a better player she can’t continue playing for Kinoshita and joining Red Elf seem the unlikely option. Now she can face the likes of Miwa and Hina more often.

I wonder if Shin Yubin and Kim Nayoung will be staying with Kyushu Karina for the next season.

Kim Nayeong is signed. Waiting on Shin Yubin. Maybe this will give Miu the inside track on a couple S Korean players she has trouble against. KNY is 3-0 and SYB is 3-1 against Miu.

Hirano has left her T league team. Any insight whether she has gone to another team or done with T league all together?

Nvm sorry just saw the earlier post Hirano is transferring to 九州. That is good since that team really lacks good players (they have KNY right?)

Kim Nayoung is staying for another season. They are waiting for Shin Yubin but with signing Hirano is it still possible to sign Shin Yubin as well. I’m not sure how much money Karina has but maybe they have enough. Kinoshita was able to have ZYL, AD and CIC on their team so may be possible.

With double crown wins in singles and doubles, Hina Hayata and Shunsuke Togami make significant moves into the rankings. Togami moves up 3 spots to WR#14 in singles and up 56 spots to WR#23 in doubles when paired with Shinozuka. Hina moves up to WR#10 in singles and WR#4 in doubles when paired with Miwa. Incidentally, WR#3 is Miwa/Satsuki. Hina and Miwa are also paired up at the US Smash so this could change in a couple of weeks.

Nagasaki is conspicuously missing from the list of players. I had remembered she is bonded to Kinoshita Group no? That said, end of an era for Kinoshita since only Miwa remains.

This video was uploaded just a few days ago
and Sato is with Nittaku & DoKnuckle

View attachment 42291

But in the US Smash the blade is a Butterfly. Is she sponsored by BOTH Nittaku and BTY ?
That is a completely different setup from what she uses in the recent games.
1000001290.jpg

The blade look like Diode V with a wrap.

The pips have yollow sponge, that smels Victas. I will bet on P1V in 1mm.
The red rubber have red/pinkish sponge. Can be Zyre 03.

Either in talk with Kanagawa for a better deal, which is in financial trouble, or...

@tzifos Sato is sponsored by Nittaku, but the blade and rubbers she uses in matches are not from Nittaku. The video you posted is a Nittaku video, so for that video Sato used some Nittaku equipment. She is definitely not sponsored by Butterfly.

I previously read that she uses long pips on the BH (which rules out DO Knuckle) and @belllfador's guess sounds reasonable.
