Looks more and more likely that the remaining spots for 2026 ATTU and 2027 WTTC will be filled up by Hayata, Odo, and Hashimoto/Sato.

Personally I'd like for both choppers to go but Hayata is way ahead of everyone else and Odo is pretty much guaranteed to finish ahead of the chopping duo everytime they clash.

Hence my verdict. Why do you think Hayata made that desperate but calculated move at WTT CS Yokohama 2025 (R16 3-2 Harimoto, QF 2-4 CXT), after coming up short at USA GS 2025 (QF 3-4 CY) and then WTT CT Lagos 2025 (R32 0-3 S. Akula)?

That’s me. Okayama Rivets might win the tournament next season. If none of the players are injured I expect the final will be Okayama Rivets vs Kinoshita.

With Tomo and Sora in the same team both players might improve their performance in WTT/ITTF tournaments.

Announcement from Twitter/X is that Hao Shuai won’t be playing T.league due to force majeure.

Haruna Ojio is set to play for the Greek champions, Panathinaikos, in the new season. If this is indeed the case, she will be a team-mate of, Katharina Toliou, Ioanna Gerasimatou and Nikoleta Stefanova.

Congratulations to Yuna Ojio, Women's Singles winner of 2026 WTT Feeder Ulaanbaatar. This is her first senior title. She beat Yeh Yi-Tian in the SF and Li Jie in the Final.

Yuna OJIO developed her distinctive grip and playing style when she was a child. The video below shows her defeating Miwa HARIMOTO to win the Bambi division (under nine) at the 2016 All Japan Table Tennis Championships. Both have now grown into accomplished players, but ten years ago they were truly adorable.

T-League season opener just finished. Taking place in Taiwan, attendence was surprisingly really good: 6881 for the men and 5124 for the women.

Powerhouse Abyell lost to Top Nagoya. Miwa won her match for Abyell, but all the other matches went to Top Nagoya. Top Nagoya's, Haruna Ojio, was declared MVP after finishing off CIC 3-0 and claiming team match victory.

LYJ was declared MVP for the men's season opener with his team winning all 4 matches.

While these things inevitably get more expensive, if we cant afford 1.99 for something we really believe we enjoy, TT will die a natural death. If WTT and local leagues could consolidate into a $10 per month streaming service, I would be all for it simply because without money, the sport cannot survive.

Gotta milk it every way possible since last season now that they are in another 100-million-yen trouble, on top of accruing 100 million yens in deficit for fiscal year 2024 after the contract with NTT Docomo had ended.

It's well worth the $1.99 a month.

I thought it was $10-15 per month then I might reconsider it.

They do have a higher tier plan at $4.99/month with access to member-only live streams and archives of previous seasons.
