As promised Dan, find below videos of Tibor Klampar, European No1 in the 80s and the first top player to use speed glue, first video is a bit grainy but dates back to the time when the chinese had never really seen speed glue and they spent the whole match picking up the ball!!!....second match was against korean defender Li Gun Sang, top defender in the early 90s......Klampar was getting on a bit here and not the player he was, but can still see flashes of brilliance!!

You can see watching Klampar where I got my backhand from.....and his lazy demeanor!!!.....use to watch this guy all the time!!

The video really brought me back to the days when I was playing as juniors. I can still remember using the same colour rubbers on both sides, the smaller ball and the 21 game. The good old days. Thx for the videos. It brought back a lot of memories.

The toss rules came in in 1986, I remembered it clearly coz I finished my secondary school in 1985. I remembered the torpedo serve, where the serves came in super fast coz we didn't have to toss the balls. hehehe
