Torn topsheet

Well the tear is huge... and on the center of the racket so... what if I do hit it?
May I cite here a classic?
"Ashes to ashes, rubber to rubber... taken too soon"
Right the first chapter in this TTD made video (0:15 to 1:38)

Well, my rubber topsheet tore. In the middle, and a huge chunk. By rubbing my forearm, I can js feel it ripping slowly. I know this means the rubber is cooked, but how? Less speed? Less spin? What are the specifics?

ik this is kinda a dumb question to ask but the more you know 😁👍
Only you can answer that. All you have to do is play with it and note the differences from before.

If you are getting erratic results and weird shots then you know the tear is impacting the ball.

If you notice no difference its fine.

Possibly dead balls, less speed, less spin and unpredictably so. If there's now a loose bubble inside, it behaves somewhat like you have a spot where the glue detached from the blade.
Alright, thx man. My assumptions are right and I don't have to blame my skill 😁😁😁
You will have less quality on your strokes. On the other hand, if you want to be striked, it's forbidden to use a torn rubber in competition.
Alright, this is true, especially when I loop sometimes and I feel the torn part (ofc the ball just falls off) 💔

I was asking because I need symptoms for it to make sure its actually the rubber and not... just me :|
