Rooting for Sidorenko!

WS wise, gonna skip it as not really keen to see another SYS ascension but also don't think KM is really Smash Champion level (not saying she can't win).

If you're saying that you don't think she's Smash CHAMPION level then you are saying she can't win 😉

I was hoping for a decider, but that match was exciting regardless! I hope we see more of Sidorenko in the future, he's fun to watch.
His finalist points should put him in the top 20 so as long as he stays healthy, we will see him on the tour for a year in all the premier events.

They were like heavyweights - I was so surprised that both players could hit the ball so hard, have it land on the table and then surprised when the opponent sometimes actually returned the ball with even more quality - insane stuff. Poor ball...

I do believe Sora has material of a really strong rank #1 player, being the only weak part of his himself, but the more experience and maturity he gets, it would be inevitable

And Sidorenko, finally a good run from him, I really like his playstyle and hope this gets him a good boost on himself for future tournaments, well played.

We all knew he was good, but Sidorenko took it up a notch taking down Duda, Tomo, Shinozuka, and Truls. It's too late for Champions Yokohama and possibly Europe Smash, but for sure we will see him in subsequent Champions and Smash events.

Sora Matsushima leaves Tiebans scratching their heads as he becomes the first Japanese to take the Singles title at a Grand Smash. And as he said in his interview, he's targeting the LA Olympics in 2028. Very fun to watch, he's unstoppable when he gets a full head of steam.

watching Sidorenko struggle I noticed that he took quite a few "pills" in the brakes, I assume painkillers for his groin problems.

It brings up a question i wondered for quite a while now: "What kind of drugs are allowed at this level of TT and are the players somehow tested for doping " ??????

Great fight from Sidorenko, but ever since I saw Matsushima win the japanese championship at 17yo I've just been waiting for him to finally bring one of the big ones home. The most incredible young player I've seen since FZD
Username checks out.

What do you think of Moregard? His gamesmanship?
