How about measurement to 10 degrees? I don't feel this is even a subject to talk about. Only 6 years old argue about this kind of issues.
No, 6 year olds don't argue about these things. I have 6 year old kids and they don't understand angles and degrees, becau they are only 6 years old.

If you feel the current system is good, then good for you.
I think it's shit and I also think you don't know anything about measurement.
Saying that 0.0333% deviation makes something illegal to the cost of a point in a first to 11 points match is, absolutely stupid.

Apart from the aforementioned upsets in the men's game, pretty astonishing work from Dina Meshref, with no coach or support and still beating Shi Xunyao! Impressive.
If there was a bet that an Egyptian would be in the round of 16, the money would not have been on Meshref, that's for sure.

G3 38, 58 TO for CHN, 68, 69 LYJ: Argh, cao LOL, 610, 710, 711
YLC carried WRB very well here and hard-countered LYJ throughout.

Yes exactly. She's clearly made some strides. You could see how mentally strong she was, in contrast to Goda, in doubles.
Goda always looks like a train wreck and Dina always looks like a sunny beach, I wouldn't use that to assess her mental strength lol.

SYS (1) 3-0 Meshref (8, 3, 5)
Forced a service error from SYS in G2. Something to be proud of.

Goda Meshref the Harimoto of Egypt.

Hirano, born for the majors, straight to the SF if nothing goes wrong. Ishikawa always has a hard time playing FTW in singles, but Meshref is no pushover either.

Meshref got some thoughts after a great start. Egyptian women have great potential.

Meshref 0-4 Hayata (-13, -10, -3, -9)
Much tighter than expected.

can you imagine?

... guess not
The problem is Sun's forehand behind that annoying serve. Meshref has a beautiful classical topspin game (heavier rotation than pace) and a lefty advantage and that combo bothers some players more than others. But with Sun, if you cannot pressure the backhand, no chance.

Calderano WR8 (8) 1-3 Shinozuka WR30 (4, -9, -6, -3)

Kishikawa should be fired for benching Shinozuka and Uda at WTTC 2026, after their performance at the recent WTT events. Such a coward of a head coach, same as Tasei at Hangzhou 2022. Even WH had the courage to take the risk and fielded ZQH.

I thank myself for observing the Dragon Boat Festival rather than this tournament, in which a bunch of underachievers from WTTC 2026 fought among themselves in search of confidence...

My reaction is actually in line with Mizutani's latest comments on the performance of Togami and Hayata at WTTC 2026. When players can't win where it matters the most, it's simply 自欺欺人 to feel good about the wins here.

WH's praise towards LSD/HYZ at the end of the MD SF match sort of highlighted what he said in the interview last month.
