I have played with an yinhe n9 blade for close to 4 years. Although not really a looping blade, I have transitioned from a flat smashing style to a more looping one over the years with this blade.

I had bought a Dhs Fang Bo (7 ply, all wood) before for a more spinnier game, but it had a lot of vibrations that I didn't like. It was also a 'Deep Hold" blade, something that I don't really prefer. I sold it, and went back to my old N9.

For those who don't know about the N9, it's a thick (6.8mm), limba outer, and 85g+ in weight. Not much vibration. Fell sometimes too dull, but I got used to it. It's very cheap, but plays quite well.

I would like to upgrade now to a more livelier blade, with a bit more feeling, and a bigger sweet spot. I have played with a Timo Boll alc-- didn't like the sound; and also that it holds the ball very deeply. I would like a blade that feels woody even if there's some carbon in it. I am currently looking at a few blades: Joola Roskoff emotion, Andro treiber FO, Nittaku Septear. All have a hinoki outer-- I don't know how that will feel because i have not played with a hinoki blade before. I am also thinking about buying a Stiga Clipper. Don't think I want to buy a cheap chinese blade-- the N9 has served its purpose, now I want something better!

Any help will be appreciated!

I would recommend you go for an inner carbon structure similar to the 968 structure. I've recently switched to Yinhe 977-1 National from Joola JQH Super-90, and man, what a blade. By far, it's the best combo of Speed and control. Alternatively, you can also go for Yinhe Pro 05, which has the same inner carbon structure, or the OG Hurricane Long 5. All of this can be found on Prott.

Thanx, but already bought the SK7. Prefer a wood blade as of now.

What rubbers are you pairing it with?
Hurricane (commercial) on the forehand, and tibhar k3 on the back. Today tried the blade for the first time. great feeling for such a hard blade. it felt faster than the timo boll alc. Will take some time for me to tame it!

I think I boosted the hurricane a bit too much-- only 2 layers yesterday, but it was also boosted 3 weeks before, so all got added! Crazy spin and arc now, not easy to control.
