I can verify, that the outer ply is koto - without any doubt.
For me the core looks like kiri while the second ply may be ayous.

I have both the ST and the FL handle blade and I noticed the straight has a mutch better balance in hand. It is easyer to serveand because the hand slips up more on the rubber (the wings are more abrupt). Also twdling is easyer with the ST handle. The ST is 1/8 of an inch shorter than the FL and that is also a positive. Here are some photos of both side by side...

ST handle looks kinda short compared to the FL one.

yes - they list the ST handle as 97 x 24mm, which does seem very short.

This blade is definately on my list to once try, however no budget for premium blades at the moment.

This is exactly why I didbt buy this blade....on Victas own website the FL handle for the ZC is listed at 100mm and the ST as 97mm.....I cannot for the life of me understand why manufacturers do this to us people with larger grips...
