Hi All,
i have used a lot of blades in my 3 yrs of actively playing TT. overall Viscaria is THE ONE for me. i loop like there is no tomm and attack ever ball going out of the table.
my question to other player is - I

s there anyone who has used viscaria for a longer period and then moved to another blade which they have liked?

The reason i ask is i have been playing Long pips for the past 1 year and it would be great to have a blade that isnt as fast, ofcourse without compromising on my FH.
i could use more power on FH for sure and that wont be an issue. but i need the same feeling (composition.. may be)

Or if you have moved from Viscaria to a faster blade.. which u absolutely LOVE, i might try that out as well.. i will go all out then 🙃

If you play long pips on one side and inverted rubber on other, I suggest trying Dr. Neubauer blades. For example Matador Texa carbon. The blade has different composition of each side. The Carbon layer on the forehand side provides maximum power and lots of rotation, while the Texalium fiber material on the backhand gives a bit more control.

Not really for this thread but I wanted to ask you that how would you compare viscaria and harimoto alc in terms of speed and what do you think about them. I'm looking for an upgrade, my eyes are currently on viscaria. HALC, and nittaku acoutic inner carbon

Butterfly Hadraw 5 is a Viscaria without carbon. More feeling and less speed reaction. I have both and for me that can be a good answer for you.
No, Hadraw is a 5-ply hardwood-spruce-ayous composition. You are thinking of Falcima which is Viscaria without carbon

It will feel very different in your hand though, avoid the dark side of EJ!!! Although to be fair, maybd it works better, Viscaria in the wrong hands is tricky. I know cause I own one and it's now looking totally great on my shelf xD

What's your technical level approx? Now I'm curious haha
