It is been too long that I have used G1. I didn't like rubber. Somehow I wasn't able to do good contact with the ball consistently because of thin sponge and hard topsheet. I then boosted rubber, it was good on first training, but then pretty unresponsive.
As an intermediate player who prefers 46–48° hardness rubbers on outer carbon blades, I’d go for Hybrid MK 2.0 (less spongy feeling than MAX) on the BH.
I can flip with it quite easily, even when receiving doubles serves from FH position and suddenly switching to BH. That’s a big move, and consistency gets harder with rubbers that are too hard, tacky, or overly fast. HMK is more forgiving and lets you get away with small mistakes.
At my level(for me), flip is very unnecessary shot, but I try to do anyway 😅 When I watch my games, I see that I react serves just after ball passes the net, eventhough I force myself to be prepared much sooner, it doesn't work well. So easier rubber saves me from making error on playing harder shots.
HMK also generates really spinny shots, when you accelerate arm forward. On BH this feels great, because I land way more balls compared to when I used D80. With D80 you need to brush much more on hard BH strokes. If you contact the back of the ball, the arc flattens too much, and you risk clipping the net or sending it long.
I find D80 very easy block actively. Passive blocks can cause ball flying all over the place, because of the grip. So it is definitely not for a person who hasn't unlocked the active block skill yet
It is possible to do both active or passive blocks with HMK, but less dangerous. However, you can attack continuously without fear of shooting out.
Both rubbers share similar traits, but D80 is more “dangerous” — for the opponent, and also for you
