The Ma Long vs Dima match is up on ttlondon's channel and my first impression was that I'm glad I didn't pay for the side angle. Venue looks and sounds really small to the point it seems like they are barely cramming people in. Has anyone from the forum been there in person?

They could only house 500 people, ofc it’s small. It was public that only 500 tickets were available. Even normal tickets felt like VIP at this point.
The side angle sucks but ttlondon cut out all the slow mo playbacks which made the match look much more exciting. I also would not have payed for only something like that. The livestream also showed some backstage stuff with the players which I’d never seen before.
Not sure if ttlondon got permission from Walndercup cause if not, he might get copyright striked.

The event was also streamed somewhere on Weibo (probably leaked) in case somebody wants to watch it tomorrow for free.

You can tell who practices this still and who doesn't lol....

I don't practice it

got 3 hits from first 4 attempt.
if any practice, mostly I do on "target" training is feeding multiballs.

For EJ out there, I was using Red Rxton 9

I am sure all of them have done way more hours of service training than I had before they turned pro.

If they were to serve seriously in the match, I am sure the target accuracy would be way higher.

It is probably the atmosphere causing so many misses. All of them have the control to hit targets at very high percentages.

Service training is not the same thing as specific target practice.

its the same control
if you done so much training of the one, then you have enough control training for....control....
unless you think pros do service training without being able to control where the ball lands....

here is some semi pros who have never trained with cups on the table, and are given money if they do 3 out of 3 attempts
I failed as I did 3 out of 4.
over 1 third of them did 3 out of 3 and 2/3 was 3 out of 5 basically.

if you do service training for few hundred hours, and you still can't hit targets.... there is some real problem and you deserve to go run laps around the field.

so as I said, it is probably the casual atmosphere, but if you told them, olympic spot if you hit it, watch how those few who missed terribly will start hitting targets. They have the skills and ability to land on the the target.
if they told me they need to go practice, I will laugh really loud at them

CM vs Szocs
G1 15, 25 Szocs' tomahawk serve went into the net, 85, 88, 118
G2 05 net and sideline edge for Szocs, 35, 36, 46, 47, 57, 58, 78 TO for Szocs, 88, 89, 119
Szocs failed to read those pendulum serves in the endgame.
