What blade does Gionis actually use?

a bit off topic but how did Gionis pull this off? People are barely being able to become a dentist, even less a tabletennis professional. He is both. Did he have any spare time? do he have a family?

Makes sense that the blade is heavier. More natural further away from the table.

@Archosaurus I appreciate your posts! :) I agree that it can get a bit argumentative sometimes but maybe better that then not caring at all?

On topic: I've heard third-hand that he used to select 100+ gram Korbel Euro from the TT11 shop in Paris. I guess if you use LP on one side, you can afford the extra blade weight. (Of course it helps to be strong and have a large build.)
I think as you point out the LP on one side is the key. The Korbel is also an oversized head blade. It all helps with the quality of the offense. I wouldn't be surprised if Joo and Filus have very similar considerations.
