The discussion about Brice's TT hall giving him too many handicap points got us to discuss some of the zany (and FUN !!! ) things we do/did in Korea...

So I toss a bone or two out there.

I personally seem to play a t much higher level when we have a round robin and are playing for who is gunna pay for the chicken and all the beerz after the night of TT is over. I like me sum Korean chicken, and even moar the beerz, but so do Koreans and I do NOT want to be the one footing the bill, I the beast mode gets turned on. The other Koreans know I am legend downing the 500s faster than they can order them, so they are hell-bent on stopping me from winning too.

Do any of you play better when food is on the line, or money? or is there something else on the line that does it for you?

Show me money that you can pay me and i will raise my level up, i can't be Ma Long or FZD for sure, but against someone who is near my level slightly higher or lower definitely i can play way better to earn that money.

Food? Nah, i don't play when i am hungry and i don't care to win or play better just to have food, i can buy food by myself and i am a very strict guy about what food i eat ;-)

Well, sometimes i may play more intensely if i see my opponent improved a lot than me in short time when he was lower than me, there is one or two, i was beating them before, but recently they started to beat me more often even i still defeat them, but sounds they became much finer in their playing style, so i forced myself to raise my level and playing style too.

I usually play better against a better player. Especially in Korea where the handicap rule is applied, the higher level should give a handicap points to a lower one, and I usually have a full passion to bring my A game when my opponents realize my improvement and reduce the handi-points. Thats such a great move and encouragement.

Koreans know i will eat the restaurant out of ALL their garlic, so they charge double when i eat, my Korean friends all know this and absolutely do NOT want to pay for my Dracula prevention program, plus they know I can run up the bill with the beers, not to many of them can pay such a bill by themselves... (or want to)

So... that means the Koreans are gunning for me something fierce trying to make ME last place and make ME pay for all that mess. I certainly do NOT want to pay that kind of bill, so it is war in action.
