If you have video to show us it would be even better, what's the most bizarre shot you have ever played. Post a video that will make us WOW, whether its a brilliant net edge, a round the net shot, a skim shot or something just plain dirty. Show us your most awesome and unique shot :)

I am honed an orthodox player for like 4 years (9 y.o until around 14)..
So, much of my strokes are kinda unique.. And I also developing some new strokes for defenders..

This is one of the craziest to date.
Its a doubles game.. My friend served the ball and my opponent send the ball with his Feint AG to my body fast.
Having no time to react, I rotate my body and kneeled facing away from the table and hit the ball without looking from the area around my left ear.
Yes, its a solid hit and its an in ! My friends went speechless after that XD

Some other funny shots are my no-looking block.
If my opponent send a ball near my playing wrist, i rotate my body 45 degrees to the right and sidespin it from the side of my body. Surprisingly, Im quite consistent with it :D

I had 2 really weird shots:

It was a match and my opponent made topspin and I originally wanted to block, but the ball hit my finger (didn't touch the rubber) and flew in a high curve on the opponent's side. He was prepared for a shot, but the ball, however, got a backspin and returned to my side and my opponent missed the ball. LOL
The other one happened in a match against my coach. This time it was me who made a topspin. The ball hit the net fixation and got over the net. Well, too bad I lost this point in a topspin-topspin rally :(

Nice thread!
There are two weird points I want to remember ^^
The first one is during a rally, I was somehow lobbing and my opponent after hitting a ball far to my forehand, hitted the second ball far in my backhand. I just ran like a crazy guy over 2 other playing fields and managed to hit the ball with my backhand on to the table. I was so speechlech and my opponent also because he missed that ball xD My point ^^
The second one is during a topspin rally, my topspin hitted the net corner, it was not the net but the thing holding it, and went up very high, my opponent thought it was his point and celebrated like a madman (important match to get to the final). My ball, flying for his own pleasure finally came down and hitted the edge of my opponent's side. Damn xD He couldn't believe that and me neither xD (I won that game and also the final) ^^

I played a reasonably competent chopper at the NZ Open in 2009, as with all my matches against choppers I start to get into my slapping zone. I was struggling with this guy though and ended up 2-1 down and losing 9-10 so it was his match point. I was committed to making a big attack so when he served long I looped the first ball quite powerfully. To my surprise he cranked out a ridiculously good chop with a very low angle. It bounced and started dropping, I was committed to winning the point and just as the ball fell BELOW table height I committed to the slap. SOMEHOW beyond me the ball which I hit flat and hard, managed to find its way from below table height over the net to the other side, it was sick and it still comes up when people talk about my slap. I won that set thanks to that miracle shot ;)

My opponent once lobbed, and I saw that the ball would hit my side close to the net, so I walked around my backhand to where the net is to smash it. The ball however had a curve on it towards my FH, and I could barely reach it. Luckily for me I am tall and with a stretched arm I could just reach it, but I couldnt get power to smash. What I did was twisting my wrist towards my body, so the ball hit his side also close to the net. I sort of 'flicked' the ball from 1.5 metres above the table towards my own body, but on his side of the net. He had no chance to get near it because he was still in lobbing position haha it was pretty funny.

I remember one shot right now, certainly there were more, but .. cant remember them now, lol...
I was at that time not that good like now (not like I am any good now lol ), I was playing a player higher ranked than me, but he was a defender and I always liked to play them. But this time he was sooo lucky against me! I was so mad at him.. He made so many nets, so many edges, he was just too lucky..
And then, when I got one big big forehand smash into his forehand after I spinned few topspins into his backhand.. I was on the backhand side playing this smash, he just somehow moved his hand to the ball standing on one leg, got the ball back.. but how! I saw the ball is going into my forehand, so I went there, but the ball catched the top of the plastic part of the net holder and jumped back to my backhand.. So another luck to this bastard, lol ..
When I saw it, I got soooo angry, so mad!
I was out of a real position, so I just flashed with my hand, playing really crazy backhand smash into nowhere,.. I even think I had my eyes closed, when I played this.. but as it was some spin in there or what the hell happened, the ball bounced from the table and there was no chance anyone could bring this back.. :)
Anyways, I lost badly to him that time..

And this reminds me one another backhand shot I played, against best player I ever played.. He was destroying me as he was so good..
There was nothing that he couldnt do better than me..
So once when he served, I made this backhand smash into his server.. Again - possibly closing my eyes, thinking of Kreanga and bang..
It was in and he didnt even move.. The ball flew around his backhand and went away,.. a moment of silence.. and then laugh of both, hehe :)

Nice one Michal xD Those net-post balls occur very rarely, but when they do you'll hardly ever return them :p Als if a defender gets a net ball, it drops dead almost touching the net on ur side, because of the backspin from the chop. And there you stand, leaning backwards a bit in preperation to loop. I know the feeling xD

I was playing one day in a pretty bad form and was frequently taken by surprise and forced away from the table(not my usual playing style!), there was one ball where my opponent smashed it very wide to my FH corner with sidespin, I just instinctively took 2 big steps(leaps) to the right and decided to smash the ball back! And it landed! But I still lost the match...

I just did a PWN shot earlier Today..
Its just a normal lob -smash game then my opponent does a chop smash then i chop smash it back rolling in his table....
TROLOLOLOL :p
