Chinese rubber is the best rubber ever for almost everyone, although they only have 98% effective rate.
Overall your reply is insightful and mostly I agree. However... I think the throw angle is greatly effected by the combination of rubber+ blade. For instance, I tested AK-47 red on yasaka gaiten Extra and on virtuoso off- , the AK-47 worked amazingly well on BH. I assumed I would like it no matter the blade, but I once stuck it into yasaka Extra offensive and was horrified.... The throw angle on normal shots was too low, almost no arc was produced, the balls tended to clip the net or go long... One might say ok it's the YEO playing as a YEO does....but no, I had nittaku Hammond Pro beta on YEO and that worked wonderfully. I tried the Hammond on virtuoso too and it worked really well there too....
So while I agree that blades and rubbers keep their characteristics, I think there are some combinations which don't bring out the best in the equipment.
In my case probably the combination of relatively hard sponge AK-47 red, combined with completely non tacky top sheet on a stiff hard YEO led to low throw, not enough dwell, and probably simply brought out the worst in both the rubber and blade
