Why not add more lines on the ball?

Tennis balls have lines so you can clearly see the spin.

Why not add this to the TT ball? It would make returning serve less random, produce better rallies and improve the viewing and playing experience.
It will mostly help with slow float. At a certain speed, lines become invisible. Since slow float serves are my favorite weapon, I am not a fan lol.

There are those DHS table tennis balls with half white and half orange which would be a much better option.

Which ultimately amount to the same thing - the size of the ball, the speed of the ball and the small distances the ball usually travels over make such marks invisible on all but balls that slow down enough to float.

tennis, ball rpm is half to a third of table tennis.
the ball is way bigger too

it is very difficult to near impossible to see the lines in table tennis.
you also won't have time to "try" and identify the spin by viewing the ball
To be honest the limits of human information are not always known and I won't be surprised if top players pick up cues that make the extra information cool. But maybe not... but for helping amateurs, it doesn't work through way they imagine it will. Other than in the case of no spin...

in my opinion you can clearly see the spin on serves if you look for the logo on the ball. For fast top spins it usually doesnt matter if its high or very high top spin. Also float servers are easy to see if you look very closely at the ball

BE ERUDITE OF EVERYTHING

Hi, people
Keep in mind please human vision is very deceptive. It is now long time since ITTF gave up all the experiments with multi colour balls for having no desired effect.

Yes, drawing black graphics onto sphere still useful to make demostrative videos of the ball rotational effects in the sport.
