I think you should be able to celebrate as loud as you want on anyball. Noise from crowds or opponents is part of the game. If you're a top level athlete and getting shook by Harimotos cho then Cho back like truls did. Besides that absolutely mind bending game between the two. Harimoto is the most clutch player rightnow even if he didn't get it across the line. It makes every time he's 10-6 down so thrilling because I've seen him clutch over and over again. Congrats to truls his step in punch saving the game after he'd missed it throughout the whole game was epic!

Nah it's clearly a problem that is only getting worse with juniors as they look up to the best of their heros and a lot yell like demons. I also think that as the yells are basically 'great shot' it's not polite to do it on missed serves pushes erc.

Can you imagine if every time you fluffed a serve return your opponent yelled 'good shot what an excellent point' .

I don't mind on big big points especially where there was a good rally but on a missed push in the middle of a game?

The sports psychology course I took was kind of a disappointment, tbh.

You're demonstrably right, though. Take Truls, for example. After winning Europe Smash in such a dramatic fashion and brutally dominating Champions Montpelier right after, I expected him to become a rock. A mountain.

The guy who lost to Freitas im Montreaux was everything but.

That was my point. I didn’t set out to say that egregious ‘cho’ definitely should be a yellow.
More that it’s a redundant moral judgement on the right to express emotion that Truls got one when his behaviour isn’t at all gamesmanship and if we’re doing it on a distaste and disrepute basis, constant screaming isn’t a great example for kids either.

Sorry @Takkyu_wa_inochi . I’m more Swedish than I am Japanese and Japan won’t give me permanent residency despite living here nearly 3 decades and I am happily married with kids.
Now they raised visa costs by 8-20X depending on the type.
I am angry.

Yeah, I'll try again this month because the price goes up 20X in October. Unlikely I'll get it though. They hate my self-employment status and also that I choose to pay UK pension instead of Japanese (UK pays out 5X higher). Probably I'll get it next year due to some changes I'm making, but 5万 this year for a temp visa and 20万 next year for a long term one is brutal.
As long as I live I don't think I'll spend that much on TT bats!

What course was it? I think to get really good knowledge and benefit you have to take a masters and/or a national chartered qualification/certification.
I just completed the masters and am on the Japan professional course now. I don't like the way they are run but the level is high and the knowledge you need to have to do well is very deep and wide.

I never seen anyone do well with Truls patented right to left CB. It's a disgustingly loaded shot by the look of it. I'm trying to copy it in practice with LPs but to bring it out in a match is near impossible

I'm obviously a big fan and of the chop block - especially Adriana's and Truls' - but Darko summarily dispatched one of the Swede's earlier in this tournament, and I'm not sure he hit another after that in their match.
