As much as I would have loved for Hina to win the match, it was great effort and progress for Hina. Her backhand serve has gotten much more effective than in the past often eliciting an attackable FH push from SYS. Necessarily risky, but some good chiquita receives but I think it's 50/50 getting back into position. All in all it's the best Hina has played SYS that I can remember.

I think that was more about SYS than Hina to be honest. SYS has looked a bit slower and also had to fight the crowd. Hina threw away her best opportunity.

That forehand on the falling ball was just wow... win or lose, anyone who thinks LJK is not back needs to revisit the evidence.

I looked at those serves slowed down, and they didn't seem especially deceptive or anything special - just loaded with spin that Winter didn't compensate for. The serve at 9-7 in game 4 was remarkable as Winter returned it with her anti and it still went in the net. Nice thing is those serves are clearly legal as far as I can tell.

Even WMY dumped it into the net.

Both Sato and Hashimoto have some of the best serves I have ever seen. Their variation at crticial times is also ridiculous.

Well seems like Kuai Man heard you. I hope Chen Yi didn't. What i really want to see is whether Truls plays any backhand openers on LSD's serves. He was all over Togami's in a way that felt very different fro his usual game.

KM played with more BH punch shots here, making tactical use of the ball and table. Such ball quotient, coupled with her touch, prove to be very difficult for double inverted players to handle.

Looks like i have jinxed all the players. LSD is doing his crazy backhsnds again. If Truls loses this one the i will have to bet on the next match against my original pick lol. Clearly my jinxing is working lol.

Truls has clearly worked on backhand atrack of serve so he isn't as predictable with the pushes
