All the overall score may not show it, Sato gave Odo quite the scare. With Odo up 2-0, it looked like it was going to be just another thrashing that Odo gives choppers. However, Sato storms back to 10-6 in G3 before the expedite rule is enforced. Odo wins the next 3 points so Sato calls timeout and then Sato wins G3 directly off the serve. Under expedite, Odo wins 5 in a row, but Sato ties it up and eventually gets to 10-8. But Odo pulls out all the stops and wins the next 4 points in a row to close it out 12-10.

Sato's offense has really improved with a hard driving forehand and backhand punch which she's able to use even with balls that land relatively deep on the table much to Odo's surprise. Hitomi is giving Honoka a run for her money for title of the best chopper in the world. The Nigerian crowd loves choppers and gives loud cheers to both Hitomi and Honoka from player introduction and throughout their matches.

Anders Lind almost lost to Iulian Chirita in the round of 32 but now he's in the final against Oh Junsung. Hope to see a great match.
Chirita is an extremely strong player, took a game off Wang once, almost losing to Chirita (who is #2 for Ochsenhausen, #1 when Togami is not around) doesn't mean anything. That said, I do hope Lind wins and develops a bond with Lagos, though Oh is the more stable talent and arguably the favorite.

It will be tough for Honoka against Odo

Its not Odo really, it is just a JNT thing. I lnow we want to see the choppers do well but there are rational reasons why they are not on thr JNT first team. Thwy just don't beat their teammates.

I wonder how much money the champions earned from this tournament. Was it worth it? What about the players who lost earlier? Are they losing money on airfare, hotels, meals, and other expenses? 🤔
