Hirano looking fit again - sharper than the last event. which is good for her.
I did notice how strong her legs are looking. However, Hashimoto’s various spin changing chops are really giving her trouble!

The first 6 points of a match can be so deceptive lol....

So nice of Hirano to give way (conserve energy) to her teammate after finishing her job - win-win that doesn't exist in the dictionary of Ito and Hayata.

1 HKG pairs took out 2 JPN pairs. Whut?!

WS QF
Hashimoto (3)(WC) 3-0 Hirano (6, 1, 6)
WD SF
DHK/Ng Wing Lam (3) 3-1 Shibata/Takamori (7, 8, -7, 11)

In case you haven't had the chance to read the Table Tennis Kingdom talk between Mizutani and Hirano, Mizutani asked Hirano if the current situation of the WT is a good thing, where the NT members don't train together but rather form their own team (like what I told Nextlevel, sharing my real experience), how they would perform better on the world stage by working together since they can beat each other at home (this goes back to what I told pongfugrasshopper a few years ago at MyTT that it didn't matter who the top 3 were in Japan), and Hirano said that she is the one who trains relatively more with other players and how it's complicated among WT members but agreed how they would be closer to the gold medal if they could train together more but the reality remains that everyone is conscious of striking the balance point between knowing each other well and getting "familiarized".

This was how the HKG WT was as well a decade ago and Li Ching even wrote an article on that after assuming the head coach position and needless to say, there was a bunch of naysayers when I pointed that out at HKTTF.

So please, stop wasting my time with this kind of shit post. Some of you folks should go find a mirror and look into it. 冇鏡咪屙篤尿照下自己囉。

Remind us how your real experience counseling a teammate with Hina Hayata's wrist injury panned out and how it entitled you to tell Hayata all kinds of things about the risks she should take and how since then, she took your advice, didnt win the bronze medal and recovered to play again at her old level with no medal... all thanks to taking your advice...

You really can't get out of your own way. Hirano lost, you need more than that article to argue that Hashimoto who is on the national team (and Hirano who currently is not) and doesnt like training with women made some unstated agreemenr with Hirano....

Hashimoto didn't even try... LOL

Not unlike WMY at WTT CS Chongqing 2026, Hashimoto is probably trying to recuperate from her injury as much as possible ahead of WTTC 2026.

WS SF
Odo (1) 3-0 Hashimoto (3)(WC) (3, 3, 2)

Just wondering... does winning at 3,3,2 count as conserving energy?

So this is what Mizutani meant when players post about their wins on social media.

Just 5 hours after posting on her Instagram her win over Hirano with an applause emoticon, Hashimoto posted her loss at the hands of Odo with a crying emoticon and an apology for that score to her supporters... LOL

Maybe if Hirano hadn't relaxed against Hashimoto as your expert insight noticed, then Hashimoto might have been better prepared to face Odo. I guess Hirano needed to call Odo to the meeting...
