Top players can get fatigue or might get injury from playing too much over long periods but they dont get so exhausted from playing one match that they are unable to play the same day. Their training tends to be juat as if not more taxing than that.... Tomo will be fine and the fact he has played may even give him an advantage because his brain is already working at match speed today... Truls will still need to get there.

HARIMOTO DOES IT AGAIN! 🗣️🔥

Tomokazu Harimoto has fought through a 7th set match of intergalactic quality table tennis against Lin Shidong to make the final of the WTT Finals, can he become champion for the first time? ☄️

View attachment 39509

Harimoto pointed directly to our camera at the end!
Why does it look like Lin Shidong,
even when he is the first to attack, is always far from the table on always goes on a defensive counter and lets harimoto take control of the point

I was at the Star Contender in London and Harimoto was warming up for an hour before going straight into the final.

He's fit as a fiddle.

The strangest thing of the tournament so far happened on SVT broadcast. The commentator and expert, which is Mikael Appelgren, were clueless about the WO situation even though the umpire announced Truls as the winner, and Wang congratulating Truls, Truls thanking him and hugging him, and Wang walking around thanking the officials and Malte Moregardh in the coach corner and they were still i troducing the match. Awkward, indeed, not SVT’s brightest moment,

Because Harimoto is too quick to rally with close to the table and Lin's shots gain more power the more time he has to execute them especially on backhand. Also Lin and Harimoto have similar weaknesses and similar susceptibility to being hit in the middle so Lin's solution is to get more space. Whatever reservations one has about Harimoto and footwork and forehand at all, when he is on, he is amazing.

Wcq should lose all earnings according to WTT regulations. Wcq afforded no good evidence of serious injury.

China table tennis fans flock to WTT Finals in Hong Kong, with unlimited budgets for some
But tight security at Hong Kong Coliseum, few attractions nearby and costly hotels proving to be drawbacks for others

Several mainland fans said they had “no budget limit” for this trip, happily buying merchandise they liked and noting they had followed events across China and overseas in places such as Singapore and Saudi Arabia, often spending more than 10,000 yuan (US$1,420) each time, even though many were university students.

Having already travelled to Macau for various WTT events, some fans were able to draw comparisons between the experiences in the two cities.

“Unlike the East Asian Games Dome and Galaxy Arena in Macau, the Hong Kong Coliseum allowed us to sit closer to the court, so even though the ticket price in Hong Kong is more expensive, it is acceptable,” said a Wang and Sun fan who would give her name only as “Little Q”.
“The security check in the venue is so strict, we have to spend more time in the queue before entering, thinking how to hide our camera and telephoto lens. Even bottled water cannot be brought inside – this is worse than Macau and other places,” said one fan from Shanghai, who would give her surname only as Yun.

Yun complained about the tight security at the Coliseum and asked whether the Post could help her bring a camera lens into the venue.

About a 15-minute walk away, at the Kerry Hotel Hong Kong, the official hotel has become another fan hotspot, with small groups waiting in the lobby in the hope of meeting their idols.
Supporters from Liaoning staying three nights at the official hotel said room rates started at about HK$2,000 on weekdays (US$257) and HK$2,500 at weekends, prices they were willing to pay for the experience.

One fan from Jiangzhehu, who would not give her name for fear of being labelled as toxic on social media, said it had been “very easy to get their signature or high-five with them when the players are back at the hotel”.

Some fans pointed out that at mainland tournaments, they were often prevented from staying in the same hotels as players, with pre-booked rooms cancelled, whereas in Hong Kong and Macau, they were free to book official hotels and there were exclusive waiting areas for hotel guests, which was a major draw and a reason they planned to return.
Nini, 20, another fan from Jiangsu and also a supporter of Wang and Sun, said she had spent more than 4,000 yuan on tickets but still commuted from Shenzhen daily.

“It’s fine to travel every day,” she said. “Hung Hom is very convenient for transport. Maybe I will go to Disneyland after the WTT Finals.”

The English version has more details. The poor girl spent 3 months of her salary on a ticket.

Tickets for the last 3 days were sold out shortly.
40% Hong Kong locals;
50% Mainland tourists (妹仔大過主人婆);
10% overseas tourists.
Steve Dainton, WTT CEO: We've had very very good support from the government officials here, and much more than in some other places...
Tony Yue, HKTTA president: In the past, table tennis events were mostly held at the [Queen] Elizabeth Stadium. Moving to the Hung Hom Coliseum (de facto name of the Hong Kong Coliseum), such a huge venue with 10,000 seats, we were cautious at first, but after tickets went on sale, we felt the anticipation and got a big boost in confidence about holding the event. We will get in touch with the international bodies to have more events.

Harimoto vs Lin matches are always the same. It starts of with either one of them getting a 3-1 lead. Next, the one who has one set comes back to make it a decider. Finally, the same result always happens, Lin Shidong doesnt know how to win and finish the deciders
It was 2-2 after 4 games

How much is that?

A person who looks like a real-life funko pop toy has no right to trash-talk anyone.
3000 US (presumably) dollars according to the news.

3000 US (presumably) dollars according to the news.

According to this, the most expensive ticket is HK$2,200, that's USD $286. Not exactly unaffordable.
